I haven’t watched KoK (really? co_ck?? lol) but the animation style looks really good. However, I do not like the concept of them kidnapping fighters and keeping them in Cryo because it defeats the whole ‘journey’. And no is my answer to Dutch returning, let Dutch’s story remain untouched and Harrigans too although he’s probably too old for that shit anyways ;) I’ll reserve my judgement until the follow-up is released and hopefully they have a good justification for the whole cryo shit.
Badlands has my interest, I just hope they fix the stupid forehead as it looks ridiculous.
I have just watched Prey for the first time, and it’s a solid movie and definitely earns its place as a Predator movie, a damn good one at that. The Flintlock pistol didn’t really need to be a feature but I understand that it’s a nod to the fans, and from what I can tell the writer/director is a bonafide Yautja fan.
The lead actress is beautiful (but as a blue eyed male I have a bias towards deep, dark eyes) and acted her ass off delivering a believable protagonist that relied on her cunning and agility to outplay the Predator… Sure, there was an element of luck that the final crossbow bolt didn’t dome her first before it killed the Predator but it doesn’t detract from the tension.
The Predator was…ugly. The roar, the physique and the tech were awesome new looks into the tools of the Yautja. The fight scene with the bear was incredible, and I laughed in admiration when it chin-checked the Bear out cold lol Outstanding fight choreography throughout, with the sound engineering really augmenting the sense of strength of brute force.
The score was great although the reimagined “Predator” theme is going to take some getting used to, but I do appreciate that they were trying to keep everything grounded in the era this movie takes place and the score did match the overall ambience.
I rank it alongside Predators, and I will be looking forward to Prey 2 and hopefully they release it to cinemas…
TL:DR; Prey was great, 9/10 and sits tied with Predators as 3rd greatest Predator movie. Hate away…

I guess your feelings about Prey are ambevalance. You have mixed feelings about it and don’t know how to deal.
Otherwise, Metacognition is an awareness of one’s thought processes and an understanding of the patterns behind them. You should be able to understand what you post. otherwise don’t do it unless you want to get fecked.
Also remember you’re amongst fans of the franchise and will feck you unless you have something constructive to say.

As someone who enjoys base, fundamental entertainment with no extra connotations, I enjoyed literally every single pred movie, even Predator: A New Look At Autism, and I’m glad they all exist. I like sci-fi action and pewpew weapons.
That being said, I also dislike one facet of all of them: WHY DOES THE PRED NEVER FUCKING WIN???
