Have you ever heard about normal (Gaussian) distribution? Because of that majority of players are just average. If you do random selection to such distribution most probable outcome is that players with almost same skill will be put together. Sometimes you get extreme of course.
Your group usually talk about Illfonic offensively, however they are not stupid, they know what they do. So they balance game for majority of players according statistics from games we play online. If they would balance predator to your expectations then predators would be extremely overpowered…
For example let say we mark player skill from 1 to 10. Average player delivers damage of 5 and great player delivers damage of 10.
In random game fire team will have damage approximately 20 (4x 5) so predator has to be able to withstand damage of 20 for balanced game.
In prebuild game of players like you, FT will have damage approximately 40 (4x 10) so predator has to withstand damage of 40 for balanced game.
Now imagine they will balance game to your needs and predator will withstand damage of 40 against average team… it will take them double time to kill him! Almost every game would be easy victory for predator. Guess what will happen? Almost everyone just start to play as predator because it will be so easy to wipe out FT. I bet you already guessed outcome of that… predator queue time would skyrocket to something like 2 hours for single match and everyone would start to complain about queue times.
I know the example is oversimplified but it gives overall picture why the game is balanced this way and what would happen if they balance according to your wish.
This is my reasoning why I think there is no way they can balance game for your expectations.
