Crossplay invites?

I was under the impression this game had crossplay? I am unable to add my PS4 friends to a party from PC? Any information would be appreciated, thank you.

They have to link thier ps4 accounts to Epic. Download the Epic Store and create an account, at that time will ask you to link.

Thanks for the reply but we have done all of this and we are still unable to send each other invites.

Yeah it sucks I really wanted to play with my ps4 friends, all we can do is keep comenting making them aware and hope they fix the problem by next week, since we have a refund timer.

Im also having the same problem ive tried linking the accounts on both ends. I have tried to unfriend and friend again but for some reason they keep apearing as offline. Honestly it would prob be best if u could just send the invite even if the person was offline. maybe that could help but who knows

I just wish I knew if they were ever gonna fix this… I made the mistake of buying both copies cause i didnt know it was crossplay the first time but it’d be fine if it worked. idk what account to play on now tho so just wasting my time

I got a very dirty workaround for this: press the FT game search button at the exact same second as your buddy. Leave directly when you don’t see your PS4 friends in the lobby and try again. (Keep in mind that PC users are joining the lobby faster, so you need a few seconds until PS4 player’s names show up)
It worked in 30% of our attempts last night.

Yeah, I bought this on PC and my friends bought it on PS4. We thought we’d be able to play together (especially since Illfonic tweeted that it would work at launch) - and we still can’t play together. I’ve barely played because playing without friends is way less fun.

Went through the process (with a friend) of linking our PSN accounts to Epic. Did that and are friends on Epic and on PSN. I’m on PC and my friend is on PS4. I can’t see him on the friends list to party invite. So basically the same at the OP.

Are any devs or community staff checking any of these posts? Seems like quite an issue if cross play party invites aren’t working for this sort of game.

Looks like it’s on the radar. Just seen their Tweet from the 3rd of June

“Crossplay with friends is high on our priority list to implement. We are working with all of our partners to find the best available solution for this.”
