Damage Reduction (Poll)

So recently everyone seems to feel we’re closer to balance than we have been since release. It also seems everyone feels the TTK for both sides is quick. Personally I think reducing damage on both sides will solve this (that and reworking missions to prevent < 5 minute speed runs). Curious as to the community thoughts on this. How much should the damage be reduced?

Whoever does think balance is better now is retarded.

Given that bow and plasma spam is back I’d say balanced is eh. And really the way to solve that is provide an intermediary option for Predator so people feel less squeamish about running up to Fireteam. Not close enough you might as well be running melee but far enough the player isn’t spamming the plasma button.

Ironically the Predator became the sniper with this update.

At least 30%. 10% or 20% is not going to do anything. That’s basically before specializations or perks.

Well yeah pred kit is lacking a little in the creative department. It’s either bow/caster from range, hide well enough to disc down or charge in and die.

I think reducing damage overall would help that though. Melee is less suicidal and one shots go buh-byes

Then again if missions lasted longer maybe predator players can plan our attacks for more strategic approach with patience, instead of fighting against time and who does most damage first.

Buff health instead, achieves the same goal but would be looked on with a more positive light from the community.

Add 5 minutes to mission timer and either add more stages to the notoriously short missions or combine them together and force the FT to move around the map more.

The balance is pretty good, because it’s dynamic, ignoring any discussion about base revive time and Field Medic.

The predator could still use help getting in and out of battles, in my opinion. Here is my proposal.

Predator sprinting is under utilized, because leaping is so much faster. Let’s give sprint a larger impact.

  • universal 20% reduction in damage while sprinting for every predator

For Fireteam

  • reduce base revive time to 4 seconds
  • increase Field Medic revive time to 2 seconds

While it’s essentially same destination different road I opted for damage because it’s what they always tweaked in the past so it’s easier and familiar. Rather than have them change the health and the next thing you know Vikings are immortal or some shit

While true…at this stage of the game it’s just who can out DPS the other the fastest and while fun in it’s own right feels wrong from a pacing perspective. Extending match times with missions won’t change that too too much I feel. Although it’s still a root problem

And remove dexterous stack on the action with field medic.
