developers wake up before it's too late

I posted a great big idea about parry balancing a while back but the short and sweet is that
#1 FT needs it 100%
#2 it should behave differently based on class.
#3 its effectiveness should be influenced by current health and stamina on Both Sides, IE a FULL HEALTH FULL STAMINA Predator should be much harder to parry unless you are also a FHFS FTM.
#4 The Weapons being used should also play a part in the effectiveness of parry adding a level of high risk high reward to it that you have to calculate on the fly.

This would solve a lot of the issues with it IMO.

What @REYNOSO_FUA11 said. He nailed it in one.

I vote keep parry as is. Just reduce the knife damage. I mean really it’s totally nuts.

No one even plays this anymore. It’s on its way out unfortunately

So you don’t think a pre made with the pitbull, that ignores hunters natural damage resistance AND ignores impenetrable, also running Bane to make the TTK for a single Ft member a moment, who also has 175, 180, 185, and 200 HP pools, respectively (assuming they don’t double up on classes) is not too strong? I’m genuinely asking I’m not trolling or trying to tell you you’re wrong, just curious about your thoughts

I don’t ever parry anymore I just turn into him and mag dump. And we wind him or kill him everytime. I don’t care either way I’m just saying from my own experience playing since launch parry is not only unnecessary it’s also not even the best move more than half the time. Better off just turning into the strikes and mag dumping. 1 dude can wind in 3 seconds so if you do this, and have Atleast 1 other guy there shooting with you, it’s winded/dead before you hit the ground

You think it’s on it’s way out. Why care at this point?

I don’t think it is I know it is. Atleast everyone I know, and I mean everyone I know lol who plays it has stopped. I mean that’s just me though maybe it’s only my friends. So I shouldn’t say it so objectively

I love predator and me and you will always get on and play a few rounds here and there bro. But I don’t know what they could even drop at this point to bring the hype back around as strong as it was at drop

Maybe the new mode will be the thing you friends need, not willing to give up on it that easily myself.

I mean I don’t feel I gave up easy. Been over 6 months and the game uhhh doesn’t work right now? Lol. The bugs and more importantly, the crashes that happen in more than half my games. And lack luster DLC and borderline sketchy dlc has made me kinda lose interest at this point. But if you are still digging it don’t take this as me saying you’re dumb for doing so. When the game works it’s AWESOME

I guess I should have prefaced things by saying that I play FT about 70% of the time (as a scout) and i’ve used parry a total of about three times ever, and we still win the majority of matches (playing with randoms). So I really can’t see the validity in saying that having parry is an absolute necessity.

That said, if everybody else is keen to keep it then who am I to argue? But I would like it to be changed somehow. Either have the ability take up a perk slot, or anything else that been suggesed. But right now, this is EASILY my biggest gripe with the game.

This is 1000% true tbh Idk what will revive it or even what they can add

They would needa do a whole rework on everything and actual testing lol

As a Scout you can avoid the Predator if you’re good, Support does not have the same option. Also as a Scout, if you’re running them down and they get the heal off, parry might keep you alive long enough for your team to catch up. Had it happen earlier today.

Changing it while unnecessary, might happen. I think someone suggested a roll, which would be cool but I’d like to have the option to use whichever mechanic I like, rather than it just being swapped out. Different options would add variety and dynamic play.

Your right about not every class having that same level of mobility, but a support also has a lot more health, mind you.

Options are always best IMO, and a roll could be really cool actually, and have way more uses than just for melee, maybe even a small damage buff (if you time it perfectly) for a short period of time afterwards. Or maybe even the ability to use your firearm as a temporary shield at the cost of it maybe breaking after so many blocks or you just get a reduced damage % based on the weapons clashing? There’s still a lot of cool stuff they can do.

Feel Free to use my Ideas all I ask is more cool Predators and weapons 😁

Currently I am just playing with randoms, being a random too. In the end, I nearly always am neither the best nor the worst in terms of predator damage and AI count.

So, I guess, I am neither a newbie nor a professional yet. Might be I am a good example for the player type most often with randoms…

I do not count wins nor losses - but my feeling is, that my statistics are quite even. As Scarface and others mentioned, the game from my POV is quite balanced for the middle-rated PS4 players (just playing PS4 in the moment, as it is true, that playing with PC seldom is fun; @illfonic: pleeeeease, give us an aim-assist…)

If you play private matches - why don’t you arrange some own, additonal rules to balance it for the pros too? E.g. play 1 vs 3 or forbid reviving or or or…?

Maybe Illfonic could add the possibility to choose whether one wants to play in a 3-man-ft or in a 4-man-ft. Those claiming to be pros: go with a 3-man-ft…

So or so, from my POV it is not the balance which is the biggest problem yet. More newbies are deterred by the missing information / tutorials and the very complex and hard to learn game mechanics, missing things like aim-assist, cheating PC players, the crashes/bugs and so on… I think, these things should be addressed first.

Let the predator be ‘smoothed’ and wonder, how much that makes the pred players happier :)

Predators don’t come in for melee, because they fear getting parried. If the parry threat wasn’t there, fireteams would get slaughtered by katanas and elder swords every time.
