Yep, and too often is the quality of the difficulty not very good. Imo anyway.
Difficulty options in hard games
They arent losing anything the difficulty isnt being removed its being expanded
Its higher difficulties are much more daunting than DS
nah its still subjective since i could say that simply having high health and high damage is just lazy and a bad way to create difficulty
They dont even know why they dont like having difficulty settings,
im apart of it
Its the âhard mode with no difficulty slidersâ but for multiplayer. The casul gets no chill games after he comes home from work because he played too much this season or had a win streak over the weekend now he has to play vs premades.
I honestly think DBD would benefit from a ranked/casual split and it would chill half the toxicity. The only option is to stop playing wait for the season to end and drop back down in ranks or go on a very painful lose streak esp if you want to try new perks and killers at high rank vs people with optimal loadouts
I prefer server browsers, tiered or otherwise. a lot of ps3 games had them but for whatever reason everything became a matchmaker on ps4.
Like I said adding difficulty options would take away from it as a medal game
Not to mention itâs pointless
Dark souls combat loop is learning enemy behavior in order to properly dodge and punish
If you have an easy mode that ruins that loop it becomes a hack and slash without any flair or depth making the gameplay aweful
If it maintains that combat loop then itâs redundant since these games have ways of making even the hardest boss as easy as the tutorial boss making it redundant
Your asking for a bad game
So yes Iâm going to shut that idea down
I wasnât talking difficulty I was talking reputation
The entire dark souls medal thing is psychological
The fact that anyone who beats it has to face the exact same thing as you adds to it
If some one can cheese it on lower levels it takes away from the medal
In ME3 thereâs an arena challenge where you fight copies of the player.
I was on insanity difficulty.
When I learned that the achievement could be earned on normal and even easy if you used an exploit I was disappointed since it meant the achievement meant nothing
And the act also meant nothing since it could be done on an easier mode
Weâre talking dark souls
And you bring up high health bars as artificial difficulty?
Clearly your not because you donât know a thing about the game if your citing high enemy health in a dark souls game
A game where you can one shot bosses
And ignore the careful gameplay balance of high damage for both the player and enemies
Not to mention your using âI could claimâ
I could claim 2+2=5 that doesnât change reality
Iâm just straight up wrong
Seriously whatâs with you people using idiots claiming something idiotic as examples that something is subjective?
I ALREADY TOLD YOU
PAY ATTENTION
The tone of the match is on you
4 people jungle gym tbagging on comms then bitching in post game chat because two of their buddies died and you didnt let them get unhooked so they lost an ebin rank
):<
Even MOBAS benefit from a casual mode you should have somewhere to try new stuff and combos aside from invoking a loss streak
Games with invasions however are a different story, the magic of DS is that you can practice your pvp in fight clubs
Thatâs just DBD in general
And how you take that is also on you
If your truly casual a loss isnât going to bother you
And the T-bagginh is just some fun
If it does bother you your more competitive than you think
Casual mode and SBMM are seperate
SBMM is just matchmaking
Casual is specifically not ranked
youâre still here with 0 perks on a fresh killer with no levels in high rank which blows
just because theyre casul doesnt mean they want to sit through 10 losses to derank.
Casual modes donât operate off of tiered MM and have waay less strict parameters. If you get on at the right time you will get put against ranks youâd never see otherwise because the ranked system only has you playing with people within a strict tier range
Server browsers are the best of both worlds tbh
Oh ya DBD needs a casual
Iâm just talking SBMM
SBMM just takes your skill.
Doesnât mean it puts it up for reward
Games with ranked have MMR
Casual does not and you can potentially get matched against individuals outside your rank you would never see otherwise.
Different parameters.
Not inherently
Casual is just another name for unranked
Siege does this
Casual had its own SBMM score that was based on your casual win rate
Same as ranked it just didnât show it off
Its still going to try to match you with a similar winrate/matches played, but not strictly the way ranked does.
If the queue is long enough you have the potential of being matched way outside your [casual rank] which canât happen in ranked where it would just extend your queue time forever.
If you play casual during dead hours games either get way harder or way easier because it will just queue you with anyone.
Just if theres a diamond on one team itâll try to put a diamond on the other team to try to even things out a bit but not always. Also premades can queue with their friends of any rank where they would normally be locked out of doing so which skews casual queues even further.
A. Thatâs completely different from having and not having SBMM
B. Thatâs not strictly true either
Ranked is as simple your gameplay being ranked and casual is your gameplay not being ranked
What games with ranked are you playing that let diamonds queue with bronze players and still get ranks?
thats just boosting.
defeats the point of ranked.
In the case of a hypothetical perfect SBMM there really should be no objections to it. If the SBMM was working perfectly, then the casual player should spend no more than a few matches in higher ranking lobbies before they get put back to where they belong. The only people that would be put in lobbies with sweats, are other sweats and unless they only want to noobstomp, they should have no problem going against people like themselves and if they do they will be put in more chill lobbies after they lose a few matches. The only reason I see brought up against a fully functional SBMM is because people want more chill lobbies. But when you dissect that argument you find out that it really just means âI want easy games against potatoesâ.
But of course thatâs only hypothetical. If games could have perfect SBMM there should really be no objections to it. Worst that will happen is maybe a few bad matches but thatâll be less common than it would without it.
But this rarely happens and is one of many variables that show it is harder to reach peak PvP than it is PvE. And so the chance of getting perfect PvP is so slim that I personally am mostly done with it. But of course this is all just my opinion so take it how you will. Maybe Iâm just getting too tired of getting burnt by games lately. Even PvE is starting to go downhill. Oh well đ¤ˇââď¸
I said it wasnât strictly true
But can the diamonds play with bronzes in ranked or no?
because thats what skews casual matchmaking queues by a mile.
I mean in a perfect world.
Too many variables and throwing premades of vastly varying skill levels into the mix.
No
But at the same time ranked players often meme in casual so bronze players canât face diamonds unless they Smurf casual
Smurfing is another huge variable but in theory they shouldnât be smurfs very long
It still sucks for the people playing against smurfs
