Difficulty options in hard games

Yeah there’s plenty of people that would find value in adding difficulty sliders to WoW with positive multiplier to your stats for setting it to easy and steamrolling raids for loot.
There’s tons of value in that. I don’t have to do anything, no one does. no point in queuing into a team, no thought. So fun and engaging.

That’s not the point of the game.

most probably dont bother on its hardest difficulty coz it takes more time to prepare for what would be mundane fights. Faught some non boss fights and had to try and avoid every hit since it was one hit kill in witcher 3 but i killed the asylum demon with nothing but fists, so yeah

no their isnt, the games are easy enough as it is for story content the high difficulty stuff comes in optional dungeons and raids that hold some of the best gear in game but still its optional you dont have to touch high difficulty content at all if you craft and gather items to get in game currency you can just buy top tier gear so yeah not the same.Take Eso for instance there are dungeons labeled hard and dungeons labeled normal and then there are story dungeons which are easier than both and can be done solo

Dark souls is mandatory dungeons that can scale for co-op. It has optional content. It has different routes to bosses. You can go back and powerlevel to 150 to go take on NG content lol.

even if we have the perspective as DS being a series of mandatory dungeons its not like an mmo since the mmo doesnt say heres hard this is where the story is so its mandatory. it has the option of normal and hard

so yeah dungeons that have several different difficulties and loot would fix that, its even implemented in alot of mmos, they have easy normal and hard dungeons i wouldnt be suprised if wow already has that function where they have a dungeon with different difficulties that have different gear in it, Over world content is always also considered easy mode in MMOS aside from large event raids i guess

right without options. see mmos are considered easy until you play post game content it still has options of easy medium hard

Dark souls doesn’t say “Here’s Hard” it’s simply the default.
In MMOs you don’t see one guy dying to goblins and the other steamrolling hordes when they’re at the same level. What a mess. The fact that its mandatory content means all the more reason to lock the difficulty because there is no real progression otherwise. No one’s going to put a sign down at the boss gate if they can just slide everything down to easy and that is gamebreaking for Souls.
Part of the story you keep bringing up is leveling and your character growing stronger compared to the world. What is the point of godmode in souls when its focused on death mechanics?

Add an easy mode and dark soul’s difficulty falls into obscurity

it does happen id go solo easy dungeons for people who needed gear in easy dungeons (for a price). yeah so if you guys only got paired with peeps in the same diff itd fix that i mean if you believe that the elitists wont drop diff you wont lose players and if lower diffs drop lower quality gear then theres no need for elites to play on low diff at all

only if you dont restrict hard gear to hard mode etc again elitists wont have any reason to leave hard mode unless they want to pick on casuals

so if elitist’s perfer solo then there should be no issue with summons then since players now are that demographic they wont be playing with others or will be on hard

Invasions are staple of the series.

Why? What would be the point if I could slide everything to easy beat the game in a matter of hours in godmode unlock everything then go invade casuals? There wouldn’t even be gank squads because no one is wasting time co-oping

im sure the elitists who perfer co optitude or need help will still drop signs i mean its not like the elites can get the items they need for high diff by playing on low diff and if diff can only be selected at the begining of ng and ng+ then most isuues are resolved since i cant just be like fuck this boss is hard ill change it then change back

so yeah you’d go kill all the easymode bosses that drop easymode gear and go beat up easy mode players, coz it makes no sense to not restrict the armor variants to each respective difficulty

Most people co-oping are co-oping because they’re hollow, Sunny-D covenant aren’t elitists.

Hard would be dead, just like once your soul level is too high everythings dead. You have to stay in normie range if you want invasions and players. Co-op exists as a safety net for players to learn the boss which is why it only progresses the host. That IS the easy mode what else do you need?
