Less exciting perhaps but adds depth the Yautjas lore.

I would also add since the first comic books and novels that you had Predators working in other fields, known as retirees. Predators who had retired from the hunt and decide to do other labor work such as ship maintenance, highly respected for surviving that long in this dangerous lifestyle, and can go back to The Hunt if they choose. Not to mention Elders are known to practice philosophy, meaning that they are very insightful beings. Far from barbarians from what I’ve seen.
They have a strangely docile & philosophical side to their society outside of the Hunt.
Like how child raising is considered to be a community effort, with whole Clans & Villages acting as one big family unit. Or how their form of a belly laugh is rapidly clicking their lower mandibles together and when they get a compliment from someone, they stroke the person who complimented them’s Predlocks. And as you said, the Elders partake in philosophical debate & study all the time, akin to the Ancient Greeks.
I nearly forgot they stroke each other’s dreadlocks as a form of compliment and/or comfort. Oddly wholesome from a brutal and bloodthirsty society.
For all their brutality & adrenaline junkie attitudes, they do seem to care quite deeply for each other as a species, or at the very least they care deeply for their Clan mates. Very evident in characters like Dark who always treats the corpses of his fallen brethren with a lot of respect and gently strokes their Bio-Mask out of mourning before setting their Wrist Computers to explode.
Yup, things like these that make for a believable alien race that isn’t “gggrrrr kill all lifeforms” like you see in old media. I mean if all they do is hunt, this society wouldn’t exist long as it had now wouldn’t it?
The most successful & long lived Warrior Cultures in history have always been those with a deeply introspective society that valued each other and avoided in-fighting. If you just fight for the sake of fighting, eventually you’ll turn on each other like rabid animals. That focus has to be turned elsewhere, either to opposing Clans as you vie for societal power or to a foreign enemy.
Another layer to Yautja society is just how in-tune with nature they are, its very interesting from a species so advanced. You’d think their planet & culture would be dominated entirely by their tech, but in actual fact they seem to care a great deal for ecosystems & the environment. Its odd but endearing in a way. Though that does go hand in hand with Hunter culture, even if you hunt for Sport: if you’re truly good at it you avoid killing to the point a population becomes endangered.

Yeah Halo’s actually consistent and the novels more or less have to follow a halo bible.
343 retcon stuff aside. Elite’s are already aware that the heiarchy made them weak and complacent so once rebellious factions broke off they had to re-learn tech and just rig some stuff together.
Brutes were the best example of this and once grav lifts broke they just started making ladders.
Halo turns it up to 11 but dont make meme exceptions like Sangheili cant go to war or enslave people but can nuke city blocks?

Last time I asked a lore question, which was “if the Predator Trophies were the indication of how old a Predator can be?” and they said they couldn’t answer as they weren’t the ones to confirm such things so this is conflicting

How is a bunch of battle hungry, murderous, overpowered race that creates more problems for themselves then they solve, a mary sue? Lord knows Vegeta could have ended the Cell saga early, but “MUh SaiYAN PRIDE” and got his ass stomped for it.
