I’d rather burn than be bored, or worse, be God’s servant. And having read the bible, can you honestly say you now understand heavenly mysteries? You may have a clear idea of heaven, but is the source verified? Moreover, do you think it’s a good idea to place faith in a being of unlimited power? He may have created us; doesn’t mean he has our best interests at heart. Have you ever wondered why god created us? We are likely nothing more than toys in a civilisation-building game of sorts. Why do we have suffering, why do we have any concept of pain, and why has satan and his supposed influence (notice the keyword, ‘supposed’) not been utterly eradicated? How can you argue for free will, and at the same time condemn yourselves to servitude? And all for access to a place of infinite happiness… anything becomes drastically worse as soon as you slap the word infinite in front of it. Infinite torture? Whack. Infinite bliss? Gonna get really fucking boring, and end up making you insane. Infinite life? Literal agony. Infinite power is perhaps the one exception to this, because it makes all the other infinites meaningless and manipulable. Infinite power is infinite fun, but even that will end after a time. Do you not sometimes wonder if god himself has not gone mad? Perhaps he enjoys watching us suffer, watching us tear each other apart in his name. God doesn’t usually take sides.

The light is shit, it hurts your eyes and stops you from sleeping. Light may let you see, but if you stare at it too long you’ll go blind. I’m used to the darkness, as it were, and I can see fairly well on my own thankyouverymuch. Also can we just talk about the logistics of what you just said? Cos ya basically just said “there’s a source of light in a room but you can’t see it but I can”. That’s rather nonsensical.

That’s literally everyone otherwise our species woulda died out long ago. If everyone who has carnal desires cannot understand spiritual concepts (which, in reality, are just abstract concepts with a better buzz-word in front of them) then you too, my sheep-like friend, are incapable of understanding them. You can’t tell me honestly you’ve never had one ‘impure’ thought, because that’s not true of anyone. Which means that divine inspiration is impossible, by your own logic. I’d also like to point out that half of my masters is in philosophy. If anyone understands ‘the spiritual’, it’s me and my peers. I also understand people, too, and I understand that they are blind. Even the self-proclaimed ‘enlightened’ such as yourself are incapable of viewing things whollistically. Give me a decent reason (which I have not already rebutted) as to why i should begin worshipping god. I will consider that reason, as I have all the others, and I will reevaluate my judgement. In all likelihood, though, your reason will not be enough to shift my stance. As I’ve stated, I believe in God… I simply see no good reason to waste my time by devoting it to him. He has done nothing for any of us in a looong time.
