There would definitely be some sort of uproar in the scientific community, given that the theory of evolution kinda changed the way many people view reality, and a disproval would change most of these views back.
Srsly cannot find any actual news or reference to this anywhere. Where did you read this information? It’s important to note that ‘disprove’ is a very strong word. Just as evolution didn’t ‘disprove’ religion or vice versa, you can’t really just disprove a massive concept like that without hard evidence that a) it doesn’t exist, and b) something else that makes more sense exists. If you aren’t just pulling this outta your ass, it would be quite interesting to read about.
