I see, thanks. And no, we have no aim assist feature. Just some clunky sensitivity settings for the dualshocks and that’s it.

Oh yes, the outback. The pinnacle of technology. A place where even in 2020 most internet users still suffer due to the logistical nightmare.
All except one lucky individual who had the internet 7 years earlier than the rest of the world in one of the most poorly received regions in the world. You must be Berners-Lee’s aussie cousin correct? Kudos.
Learn to do your damn research before you spew out nonsense.
you are either trolling or trolling.
or the other option I’d rather not call you
Nah, I had BBC Micros in primary school (kindergarden) and one at home. In college we were using generic brand PCs with the 486x Pentium processor. There was no dial up here either in the public sphere. There was those dial-up games using those crusty modems but that’s not what I would consider as the internet aka world wide web, and online massive multiplayer open world games were a mere dream then.
Uh ven, we do have aim assist. Ever notice how your aim will sometimes track somebody with out you moving your stick? That’s aim assist. I always turn it off if I can cause I hate it.
We cant turn it off tho. Most games dont let you turn it off.
ok so pure trolling.
BBS (bulletin board servers), real
and “BBC micros”?
troll somewhere else and leave the forums for people that actually give a shit about the game
Strength/quality of the aim assist varies depending on the game. Generally makes minor adjustments to the crosshair when hovering the target with a control stick. The reticule is “sticky” and follows the target slighty in either direction when strafing. In addition to things like turn acceleration to allow people with controllers to look up faster or turn 180 degrees without needed the stick tilted as far as possible. This is the standard for console shooters because it smooths aiming and makes it overall less clunky and more responsive. Also gives them the ability to flickshot with a controller that they otherwise cannot do with raw input. Without it, everyone using sticks is just approximating tilt to turn from A -> B aim, stop, aim, stop so they tend to overshoot or undershoot and fire half their mag into the air behind the target like you see in 80% of your matches.
Not to be confused with stuff like halo’s bullet magnitism where the bullets literally curve into the target, making hitboxes bigger than they actually are I think thats excessive.
Who said about it existing? I said we didn’t have access to it or the ability to use it in the general population back then. Wealthy corporate businesses and the military, yes. But I’m talking about your everyday person. Home PCs were something exclusive to wealthy people here back then, the majority of the country were console gamers. There was the Atari ST and Commodore Amigas, but again they weren’t cheap.
Uh, my controller never tracks the enemy. How the fuck do I get that to work!?🤣
commodore and amiga were PCs…
and they are early 80’s troll
It usually happens in close proximity. The closer you are the more it goes into effect. And no I dont meant mean melee tracking.
I cant tell you the amount of times its fkd me over in games. Aim assist that is.
Hell we can even go into a private match to test it out xD. I haaaate it with a passion though. Lol
To me, aim assist is like what I have in Red Dead Online where it automatically goes to the nearest target and locks on. I haven’t noticed the crosshairs tracking the targets, but that might have something to do with me moving my crosshairs to quick for it to kick in?? FPS games like this are a new experience, I’m more of a third person game player (GTA, Red Dead, MGS…). Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it👍🏼
Nice work hijacking a thread.
I’ve flagged it for deletion and will repost.
I expect my fan boys to come buy again
please at least educate your selves before the next round…
Lol if I’m playing against ppl I know are cool, I have a hard time going all out. Which is why me and buddies usually only fk around when we play against each other lmao.
We didn’t call them PCs, PCs were the realm of IBM computers etc Atari STs and Amigas were home computers, nothing near like how a real PC was used. Jesus, now your grasping at fucking straws with symantics.
Comparing an Atari ST to the likes of an IBM computer of the same era, is like me comparing a Ford to a Bentley. Jesus, you’re desperate for any win now in your failed argument. You’re muted now, I’m done with this thread. Maybe a certain DeadEyeBuddha will listen to you, you two seem to have the same maturity levels and honesty levels.
