Its pretty fun.
Demon is a pain but humans are fun
Cations on buying this oneâŚ
Curious to what the player count will be in about 3 months.
It all depends on the frequency and heft of DLC updates/fixes
Better than Predator, and fun to play.
Itâs definitely fun and more laid back
And definitely different than predator
Looting houses/exploring is a big part
Havenât played as the demon yet though
It shares some set backs as predator in that there are few maps/weapons
It has a single player mode that isnât really anything to write home about but itâs nice that itâs there I guess
Bot mode also
If youâre a fan of the movies Iâd definitely say get it otherwise maybe watch how things play out
This looks more finished and has more depth than I was expecting considering the current state of video games.
If illfonic had developed this it would just be one player spawning in as a maxed out demon and maxed out survivors and both sides just deleting eachother instantly with no match progression at all.
4v1 is a cursed genre though and I expect demons nerfed into the ground and queue times to shoot up in 2 months just looking at these streams.

I actually think if Evil Dead gets regular content and potentially memberberries crossovers like DBD does itâll be fine. It seems less annoying as the solo player so far and the maps are big enough to make matches take 20 min. A bit more stealth elements and less kiting would be good. Ranged weapons look like they suck compared to melee, but it might be a skillcap thing I suspect Evil Deadâs balance team actually plays the game at a coordinated level. Making the game less reliant on aim might make it easier to buff/nerf things because there isnt a huge gap in mechanical skill from player to player.
The demon player is basically playing an RTS and RE Resistance tried this and failed so itâll be interesting to see how this plays out. Then again RE Resistance was janky indoor third person nonsense with the camera fighting the walls the whole time. Never watched Evil Dead but we were supposed to get an Alien game like this awhile ago, IE the queen player spawns facehuggers and can take control of drones and gets access to Queen lategame so I want to see if theres any hope for this genre.
Itâll come down to how much the devs want the game to succeed though, the core gameplay works, theres plenty of leveling to do, and they pre-emptively added all the things people constantly ask for in these type of games (tutorial, solo, AI) so its a strong start.

What? Thats the biggest crime of movie history.
The first evil dead is far from comedy , the sequel is a great mix of comedy and horror , then army of darkness leaned too heavy into comedy I think.
Ash vs evil dead was a fun mix
Youâre a disgrace. I command you to watch all 3 films and Ash vs Evil Dead immediately and then the 2013 reboot if you want to. Itâs pretty good. Then, only then, not-a-loser will you be.
