If a predator splash damages its self with the plasma cannon and detonates the self destruct near the exfil when chopper is called then team can not escape.
Make it so:
If last hit of damage that downs the predator is self damage then the self destruct is not available.
(IF killing blow = self damage THEN self destruct = unavailable)
I would agree but that’s the point of self destruct. A last ditch effort to stop them. I just like being able to cause the self destruct my self cause if I kill a ft that has me severely injured, while they are downed il put my self in self destruct mode as like a show of it being a good fight, plus I think it’s kinda funny. Like, WE ALL GONNA DIE TODAY.
But you mean like they cant access the rope right? I think disarm button needs to be a different one cause I’ve tried to disarm the bomb sometimes and I end up putting mud on myself.
No its not they cant access the roap, its that the pred is too far to goto to defuse it, but the chopper isnt there yet, and they cant run off because the explosion radius is to the edge of the map/play area.
There is basically nothing you can do, and thats not fair. even for me as a pred its not fun or fair game.
or just make it so you cant down yourself with self damage.
You can still take all your life but the last 1% cant be damaged with self damage. something needs to be done about it anyway.
Exploit? i think at the end of the game when it comes to that thats like the only thing the predator can do to win plus you know you can just leave the blast range right?
Like i said, the blast range goes to the end of the map with this exploit so you cant run away from it. you would have to run through the entire circle not just from the middle to the outside like usual.

its fine if its done properly. this is just killing yourself where the fireteam are not able to get to you to defuse, and they cant run to escape and the chopper hasnt arrived yet.
I mean its pretty rare to happen. and if its the fireteam that causes it to happen then fair enough they killed their beam by being stupid.
But for the pred to do it himself its just not ok imo.

Ok so pred kills himself there (white dot) and sets off self destruct. there is no way to clear the circle in time or enough time to get to the pred to defuse (hes usually up on some rock or whatever) .
And the chopper wont arrive on time.
Its not that the circle suddenly gets bigger.
Like i say, if the fireteam kill him thats fair. and it should work. if the pred kills himself to do that then i think its unfair and exploiting a mechanic in an unintended way.
