Fairyaitja v2

that’s been the base of my pred playstyle. the first and second engagements tell you everything you need to know about how the fireteam plays, along with maybe forcing them to use a syrette or two.

going back to the smart disc, i am usually hesitant to use it nowadays because of how fragile it is. only takes a few shots to destroy. you just have to pray that the fireteam doesn’t know that you can, in fact, destroy the discs

Use the ancient disc. It takes a lot of ammo to destroy it and most FTs give up quickly.

Agreed, usually its the first run in that will tell you whether or not you’re gonna have a bad time or not. In pubs most of these first engagements tend to end in a team wipe lol.

Ancient disc, bro. Like what the other guy said. They forgot it existed so the HP is the same. Looks cooler too.

It really doesn’t. It took a lot of ammo to destroy the “normal” disc before patch 3.0. The ancient disc was never buffed, so, when they nerfed the disc on patch 3.0, they forgot to nerf the ancient disc just like they forgot to buff it on patch 2.50

It just takes “normal” ammo to destroy it. A single clip of the hammerhead or gosl-r will destroy it. Not as easy as the regular disc, but still easy enough.

using sam’s disc build

oh you got j87 too

I prefer protection rather than adrenal but I guess vs most fts dont matter and it will help most players to handle mobility

With tracker you dont have to use target isolation at start of match before they mud up since you can find them anyways, specially in a bigger map like backwater, I prefer crossing half of it before using target isolation(with tracker) since you will be close to ft and could have gotten to them before they reached the mission camp.

well when you spotted them on the mission camp you used disk from fine position, you seem to need more practice getting hits with it, could have gotten the first kill from the first down but you took too long.

2:47 lol almost got bodyblocked, dont enter places like that with only one way out

use ancient disk, those guys seems to be potatos which is why they didnt try destroying disk and you got away with quickclaim while taking almost no damage, otherwise would have been to use disk vs downed players + the one reviving

too much melee combi before throws + quickclaims

you are managing to get hits with disk so good, just need to get on trying to get multiple hits on a row in a single flight

6:50 traps better used from above ft, that backwater has lots of branches to use

7:06 quickclaiming bellow 50% hp, again you are only getting away cus they dont shoot a standing target

they had the shortest mission on backwater which is why they managed to get to chopper, 2-3 objetives in northwest camp, then one in middle map, 3 mins done, thats mainly bad rng luck

yeah. entered it in the playstation store and it unlocked jungle hunter

Ok at the start of the game you wasted too much time & allowed the Fireteam to move onto the camp where the mission was. If you’re using Tracker spec, you don’t need to use it right at the start of the game either, just start leaping straight ahead in the direction you were looking when you spawned in, wait until you are roughly half way across the map or what I tend to do usually is wait until the match timer reads 14:45 before activating Target Iso because after 15 seconds you should be able to figure out which camp the Fireteam are heading towards & attempt to either outright cut them off or ambush them.

In regards to the build if you’re using Combistick & Smart Disc, I’d recommend trying out Dithered Lens or Protection instead of Adrenal Boost if you bump into decent players. It doesn’t really matter too much against potatoes what your 3rd Perk is if you’ve already got Large Pouch & Medic. But if you were going against a good team you’re more likely to get better utility from the likes of Dithered Lens or Protection (obviously don’t use Dithered Lens on night maps because it becomes useless).

I’d say the Smart Disc play is alright, you just need to work on getting multihits in a single flight. Also, start using the Ancient Disc, because the normal Disc will be destroyed very quickly & very easily by anyone who is decent or at the very least knows that Smart Discs can be destroyed. Also, don’t go rushing into small enclosed spaces & rooms like that small tunnel you ran into to get your Smart Disc & Combistick back from. If there was a single decent player on that team, you more than likely would’ve been bodyblocked & killed. Plus you can get your Disc & Combistick back from walking close to the walls of that thing from outside so it really wasn’t necessary to go in there at all. I understand the panic that might set in if your Disc gets stuck but just stay calm & don’t do anything rash.

Another main thing is stop Quick Claiming people. You’re only getting away with it because you’re playing against potatoes. If you keep doing that against a good team you will almost certainly get second winded and/or killed. You should only be Quick Claiming if you are 100% sure that the downed Fireteam member is far away from their teammates or if they are all dead already & the game is already won. Kill downed Fireteam members by either throwing the Combistick, Smart Disc, or shooting them with the Plasma Caster.

For the Bear Traps, the best way to use them is dropping them directly on top of the Fireteam’s heads, not setting them like an actual trap. The most obvious place to try throwing them from is from the tree branches of course so be aware of your surroundings & the Fireteam’s whereabouts. When you’re using Bear Traps from above, try to think of it like you being a pigeon trying to shit on their heads. Sounds ridiculous I know but believe me it works & you won’t forget the formula if you instill that in your head.

I would also highly recommend working on Combistick Throws, and utilise them more often. The melee attacks were only really working because of the calibre of your opponents.

I believe we spoke about this before either above or in another thread but definitely change your controls to prevent jumping into the branches accidentally. I use R3 personally for the Jump/Branch Switch command. One more thing about the trees is just keep jumping between the branches & don’t walk along the branches. You make too much noise & you’re too slow while doing it so you’re an easy target for anyone with good aim. Plus it hinders your travel speed potential, particularly for getting to the Fireteam at the start of the game as quickly as possible, and getting to the Fireteam as quickly as possible is essential when they get very fast missions like the one they had against you in that game which is why they were able to call the chopper surprisingly early.

Not bad though. Just keep practicing & remember the things I said.

jungle hunter’s stamina is dog shit without it, but i guess it wouldn’t really matter if the main weapon is smart disc

however if you’ve got JH with stalker
then it will definitely be needed

ive been trying to do that more as well. is the throw affected by down range?
