Fireteam Reinforcement Call is ABSOLUTELY Game Breaking

I was playing a match last night where I was playing against a bad Fireteam that was constantly separating and not sticking together. I thought it was going to be an easy and quick match since I downed one FT member one by one. It didn’t take long to start claiming the skulls and chase down the third FT member and claim him too. Needless to say, I activate my target isolation and head for the last FT member. I’m already enroute for several seconds till I see the Reinforcement Call warning. From the time I get the warning and till the time the Fireteam members respawned was LITERALLY 10 seconds. What do they have teleporters in 2025 or something ?!?! I understand the mechanic, and I’m all up for Reinforcement Calls, but they SHOULD NOT be THAT EASY.

The Reinforcement Call needs to be a minimum of 30 seconds. This FT member was not expecting me to arrive and was just standing there nonchalant like he wasn’t going to die and just had to chill for 10 seconds. Also, Predators need to be able to disrupt the Reinforcement Call if they are with 5-7 meters of the radio. I have had way too many people run around the area and avoid hitting my melee attacks, so they can keep the counter going while also evading my attacks.

Oh I know. Worst part is that when they get reinforced they know what weapons you have so can change their tactics to counter your weapons meanwhile your stuck with those weapons and can only hope they split up

You have to be joking really? I always kill 3 members then let the last guy go reinforce the team just for the extra kills. I do this just to make it interesting and keep the matches from ending in 2 or 3 minutes and I still win almost all the time as the predator. You all need to go learn how to play this game and stop expecting illfonic to cater to you. The fire team has been nerfed enough. How much easier do you want them to make it for the predator this is sad.

Honestly I agree reinforcement is dumb, but with how easily pred steamrolls, its necessary.

By your logic, let’s go and give the Fireteam INFINITE SPAWNS and NO COUNTDOWN. Hell, let’s give them 500% health boost too. Oh yeah let’s give them thermal vision, pheromone tracker, motion tracker. Let’s just make this EASIER for the Fireteam crybabies when it’s literally so easy to play. I got to level 60 in less than 2 days of playing straight Fireteam. Let’s NOT NERF the Fireteam where I win 90% of the time. Let’s just buff them up because ya know “Predator kill too easy. Need mo challenge. Me so bored.” No the game has only been out for 2 months and the community is still getting new players. There are veteran players that already know how to play as the Fireteam and Predator. ANYBODY can agree that a 4 man Veteran PC Fireteam will annihilate a Veteran PC Predator.

If you think a 10 second Reinforcement call is fair, might as well make it 0 seconds. Hell make the Chopper Extraction 0 seconds too why don’t ya.

I finished that match killing the noobs with 7 kills and honestly it was a waste of time. They were bad from the start. No cooperation, nobody following objective, nobody healing, etc. They died quick and last guy got lucky with a 10 SECOND Reinforcement call. If this was a pro PC Fireteam, they would just need shoot at me while running to the last objective and get it done in 2-3 minutes and ditch it to the chopper. Start playing against good Fireteams who know what they’re doing, like me, and you will see how easy it is to abuse this mechanic. That’s what NOBODY realizes !! This mechanic will make it almost impossible to win against pro Fireteam.

Please comeback with actual criticism rather than the “get good” comment when the game reviews are 5/10 or lower because of the issues with the game. This isn’t a perfect game and you’re denying that.

Two weapons that cannot be countered bow… shoulder cannon disc… and netgun. I prefer combi throw and disc play.

I use bow find bow lack luster compared to 136 disc amd combi multi hits. I play bow sometimes but combi traps and disc just out dps bow

While I understand it is frustrating to deal with the Reinforcement Call 30 seconds is a lot if you are only one or two FT members left. It will be damn near impossible to get the Reinforcement Call if a Predator rolls in with the Netgun on two or one, and at the same time can disrupt the call when in the vicinity.
Another tweak to the Reinforcement Call could be in order, but imo your suggestions would be too big a nerf.

I believe there is some delay on the visual side for Predator notification that the reinforcements have been called.

Been saying this… but imo if they are going to keep reinforcements, then any supply the ft used before their previous death DOES NOT spawn back in their inventory space. Unless it wasn’t used prior

I don’t think its the reinforcements, but more of how they are fully resupplied with heals, ammo, grenades ect.

@lucky_jax_77 I think 20 or 30 seconds is good for timer. FT reinforce call needs nerf no matter what. Its hard to beat PC Fireteam when they can just call backup in 10 seconds.

I did not know that. If that is the case then we might already be looking at a 20 seconds wait.

I mean i wont go that far that its breaking the game… cause yes i am predator main and i love playing him and i would love to play the game without hesitating to do anything in it, cause yes i have anxiety in game to not get melted of and then not being able to fight off if they call reinforcements…

BUT its honestly fine if you ask me

I just found OP’s combined suggestions to be maybe too hard if we take the situation of just one or two FT members trying to get the Reinforcement Call and the requirement was being in the vicinity within after 30 seconds to disrupt their backup. They get the Netgun (I do not find handling one or two FT members the biggest callenge with my Hunter) and some slashes.
A sort of nerf or change would be in place, we can agree on that, but it also has to be fair.
It will be interesting to see what will rolled out with the next updates in terms of further balancing as I am sure further changes are coming in that regard. Some changes affect several aspects of the balance so too big steps at once can be dangerous for the overall balance.

Sounds like a Bad predator player to me. reinforcements is fine, get better playing a pred instead.

I think that this could be mitigated by giving them a good bit more health and making predator stealth kill much quicker so that if they are foolish enough to let the predator get the stealth kill only they should be punished

You can destroy the disc though not sure about the combi I’ll have to try

I’ve read somewhere on the forum that it is destroyable when thrown as well.
