exactly. it looks like the designers said “hold up, we should try and lean back into the original design” but then fell asleep halfway through, and submitted this abomination. looks beyond stupid.
unfortunately im going to have to see this in theaters, just so i can say that i went to watch a predator and alien film while they were in theaters.

They gave him a fade haircut. He looks kind of challenged. It is funny that the creature looked way more believable in 1987. The movement, everything. This feels very rubbery.

1-Confirmed AVP canon, multiple weyland logo, humans seem to use pulse rifles.
2-Plasma forged weaponery/super heated sword, Bow and grenades perhaps??
3- Not on earth, seem to hunt a bit everywhere in the galaxy.
4- we got 3 Yautjas in the trailer, bike one is an elder with white hair, the young one and another bigger one, perhaps a revenge/rivalery story there?
5- Human girl might be an android. Atleast there is a good chance she is.

Kevin peter hall gave the predator its own personality and mannerisms this fuckin thing looks like a guy in a mask running around with none of what kevin brought to the predator…his movements in 1 and 2 look like its own thing not like a human walkin around. Idk if anyone gets what i mean but this is straight dogshit

Yes, Kevin Peter Hall’s movements were alien like, really sold the creature, not to mention the amazing Stan Winston design. This one so far feels like too human and rubberish.

Like the planet looks cool, the concept is cool and unique, I could give it some benefit of the doubt, but the second this fucker zoomed in, I couldn’t deal. Feral looked better than this. The AVP connections are actually pretty nice, I’m excited to see that, but…I can’t get behind that design.
No slimey detail on the face or predlocks. Doesn’t look alive, looks unfinished. Rubber pred. They did it way better in 1987.

Still don’t complain about the pony tail it looks worse in the PHG game anyway. Just that the human type forhead is a little janky to me. but otherwise it passes.

There is not that much asides from that face to troll on and the body is pretty weak cause its all covered up. The trailer is pretty mysterious to begin with and there about two lines in the whole thing being said.
Dont forget about sauron predator lookin ass, meleficent predator lookin ass, krampus wanna be ass…this shit is gonna be bad and were not even counting the other stuff that was said by dan about the movie like facial expressions, thier own language, strong comedic chops in the casting call…we might be in for a world of hurt boys
