I’m not really into the whole throwing thing. Throwing a melee weapon is actually a horrible tactic, and would only be done in desperation. Games such as Call of duty made it popular, but, in reality, you’re very likely to hit moving targets with the handle of your weapon. Additionally, a thrown weapon has much less force behind it than a thrust or swing. Finally, throwing your weapon basically disarms yourself and arms your enemy.

A spear is a slight exception, as it can lead with the pointy end.

I bet even if we reverted the game to launch status when we had zerker rushers, things would play out differently now. Nobody knew how to play back then. Nobody knew what parry was. I think if we kept FT as is now and returned Predator to that state of damage output and absorbtion, it would be pretty well balanced.

hmm don’t know. Complaints seem balanced on both sides, as all things should be.

Ft:
. Omg stop the melee spam, you suck
. Netgun troll (1v1)
. (actually brain-dead atm, so I can’t recall anymore ft talking points)

Pred:
. stop parrying me (dmg pentration to parries, etc)
. buff stamina recovery
. rooftop snipers
. ammo replenishment
. PC premades
. building interior blockers
. dmg buffs in general

You literally shut your own point down by bring up more probs for pred than ft lol.

Either way I look at this purely on a character angle.
Comparing the dps ft has to the dps pred has, its completely unbalanced and unfair given that it’s a 1v4.

As for the melee spam, that shits fucking stupid.

Theres a lot of ppl who bitch about repeated attacks from pred, but guns do nothing but spam bullets, from one button.

The hatred for pred melee needs to end because it needs to become viable.

Theres a bunch of other shit I would love to get into but ilfonic ignores every idea so theres no point.

All that’s left now is ft mains thinking their hot shit cause the game completely caters to them.

As for me?

I’ve only been after balance since the beginning of this game.

Btw, I’m just curious. What’s your take on premade coordination versus. a random lobby? Do you think more complaints deride from one or the other, or are the balance issues equal on both sides?

Slightly disagree. The zerker rushers were a result of the plasmacaster nerf because it reduced the effectiveness of ranged hunting. By then people had a good few weeks to get good and remember that both pred and FT were on that same learning curve. But I spose we will never know for sure. It would be interesting to try your idea for a month though. Perhaps James Cameron will use the time displacement device to go back and try it out.

More from premades, however at this point ft is ridiculous all around.

The problem is with randoms, these ppl barely ever try.
Like they dont care they are literally there just to waste time.

So you cant really count or take them into consideration.

But like I said, I analyze the balance and what not purely from a character point.
Cause me and a few other pred players can beat premades.
But were an exception.

We really shouldn’t count either because not everyone can do what we can.

Like even with the new specializations, against low tier players, it wont Help them.

Not vs me.
Which is why I say at this point, the game needs a rework.

But, I dont know how to help low tier players.
No matter what advice you give, you cant make them put in more effort.
