I don’t doubt it but I use recon not scout
Fixing Melee
That was Recon? I could have sworn that was Scout. My bad lmao.
Oh, right, gear items.
I use macros for a lot of things on my computer, from activating audio outputs when I speak using audio input triggers, to combining several keys and repetitive tasks to a single key.
Do I use them in game? Yes, I do. Though the limits of what you can do with them on the game are heavely restrained. I use them for key rebinding, since the key combos you are given in the game suck balls. I have no idea who came up with those key combos options, but whoever did, clearly has never played this game.
To me macros are a normal thing on PC. I use them in most games I play. Its up to the devs to make sure people can’t exploit the game with macros. Same with voice chat. I’ve heard that voice chat in this one is also cheating since using things like discord makes the pred not able to hear you, I blame the devs for that just as well.
The whole VC is really stupid. Pred is a fucking alien, even if it heard you, it shouldn’t have a fucking clue of what you are saying. And of course, nobody in the fucking military today go shouting and screaming for everyone to hear them. They use comms and speak quietly. There’s no reason for Pred to hear FT in game VC and there’s no reason for it to communicate with FT other than making a friendly (or unfriendly) match. In games like squad, VC is limited to squads and you can’t even communicate with other squad’s vc even if you are in the same team, unless you are a squad leader who can only communicate with other squad leaders.
I know, I have no idea why the devs had the idea that this is needs to be in. At best he should get the tracking when people speak but understand nothing they say.
Absolutely right. Terrible mechanic, and it screws random teams, because there’s always that one guy.
Yep, always on mic that (mostly) PS4 people have gives away your position…
You mean half of the games arsenal is balanced around a 1V1 in a 1V4 game?
That’s not good balancing.
Eh…wouldn’t say nobody. Actually basic infantry training is a lot of communication. Position, description, distance of enemy targets and such. Shoot, move, communicate is a principle drilled into soldiers. When executed properly in game too it’s incredibly effective. “Pred spotted 240 degrees up high” etc…
In this case its good balancing. You can’t expect to run in the middle of 4 people as they shoot at you and down + kill 1 guy. That would be completely broken.
Ya but we shouldn’t just accept that melee isn’t viable.
We should be finding ways balance it properly
Melee is viable just not in that way. Isolated targets, targets that are in a trap. Hit and leap (hit and run tactics). Hard to pull against good players but I’ve seen them done. Also it can work well as a finishing move, get a guy low with something else, then move in quickly as they are distracted with some AI or something.
Predators are hunters, ninja type characters and not Wolverine.
PS. This is against good players, if its a bunch of randoms feel free to run in and floor the entire team with the schyte.
What xan said. You can use melee… Just don’t expect to use ONLY melee, because… That’s not how the game is supposed to be played.
But I could only use range more affectively than with melee. Why run in when I can get a bow shot off?
Exactly. You use range to wear them down. Make them waste ammo, med kits, keep them from completing objectives.
Then I can finish them off with range without melee.
Either way it boils down to personal preference really wouldn’t you think?
For cleanup ya but range works just as good, if not better than melee for cleanup while also being able to handle 1V4’s
Balance is such a funny thing, untill someone makes that one thing no one likes one of the most busted controversial thing to use
