FPS ISSUES ON PC

I’m getting 60-70 fps in the menu alone and it dips to 40 fps in game playing as predator. The trial ran better.

My specs are I9 9900k, 2080 ti, 32 gb ram on NVME drive. Running Windows. All settings are on cinematic at 1440p. Anything less has terrible aliasing. the tutorial ran fan but as soon as I started a private match and played alone its basically unplayable.

what gives?

Here is a video with the frame data

None here and I’m on a 1080Ti

Driver updated for your graphics card??

yes latest drivers was just playing Breakpoint on Vulkan at 120 fps.

the trial only used EPIC settings, cinematic has been added. id reccomend going to EPIC for everything but textures and maybe AA.

Im unsure to what it is only suggested is lowering settings, I havent updated my drivers I get 80+ fps on High on my 1440p 144hz Monitor
I7-8700K
GTX 1080
32 GB Ram
SSD

With how fast the game is I dont really notice the AA problems you said are there

Cinematic settings are usually for cinematic cut scnenes so you probably will get low FPS if you use all of those. But in a few years new cards will be able to run it

the killer setting is view distance. just dropping that to epic helps abit. 10 - 15 frames. anything less than cinematic is really shit. after playing Doom Eternal and other games at 165 frames looking infinitely better, i am dubious that this game needs a next gen card to run on full blast. its just poorly optimized.

Same for me I have a 2080ti also

Its cool mate. i did the same and it looked not much different and ran poor.

A tip to get the AA looking better/graphics less muddy is to try a config edit.

goto your C:\USERNAME\APPDATA (hidden folder, type in adress bar) \LOCAL\SpaceFish\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

Open up the Game.ini and paste in the following and save.
Then do the same for GameUserSettings.ini
Create a file called Engine.ini and also put them in there.
Save all of them.
(The screen percentage setting is rendering 20% over the selected resolution this helps with instead of using heavy temporal AA, you can go more or remove it all together depending on your system. for a 2080ti at 1440p you could probably go up to ~150%)

[/script/engine.renderersettings]
r.ScreenPercentage=120
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=3
r.MSAACount=4
r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0
r.MotionBlur.Amount=0
r.MotionBlurQuality=0

[SystemSettings]
bSmoothFrameRate=False
t.IdleWhenNotForeground=0
fullscreen=true

just paste it below anything that may be in those files, dont overwrite anything

you mentioned direct x 12. how does one enable that?

in epic settings for the game provide additional command line option -dx12 should do it. but it probably will run worse as its not been developed / optimised with that in mind

Poor performance on my 1050TI too with I5-8300H solid 60 most of the time but dips to 35 a lot. Need a fix please. Loving the game so far aside from poor performance.

Same here.

Hey uk_spawn , can you tell me if your antialiasing procedure fixes the default PC hair problems?
As I’ve documented here: I’d really like to fix this for myself.

I tried this out today with making the engine.ini file…adding those lines to each file. Nothing happened. Im bummed. Maybe they changed it up.
I suppose these codes worked in other Ilfonic games?

I’m very curious how this game will work for me on my new PC I hope for an EPIC setting without dropping below 40 FPS! Otherwise I’ll be disappointed: It will be this Gaming notebook - Intel Core i7 9750H Coffee Lake, 15.6 "IPS anti-glare 1920 × 1080, RAM 16GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB, SSD 256GB + HDD 1TB

On my current AMD FX 8350, 16GB DDR3, and AMD RX 5700 XT 8GB graphics card. My PC has something to do to handle the game at 40 FPS with the EPIC setting with anti-aliasing turned off, but mostly it drops below 30 FPS with larger map details and distances and special effects for shooting and explosions to do so. The trial version was somewhat lightweight or otherwise optimized, but again it worked much better on weaker and worse PCs with 4x core kits, it was not a problem to play on EPIC settings. After the release of the final version, I was worried that on my former 4x core, the EPIC setup game only worked below 25 FPS and less, so I had to make a tunig PC for 8 cores and a graphics card, but I didn’t improve much. I don’t have the budget to invest in the new RYZEN 3600X technology and who if I could play the game on EPIC or film over 60FPS without any drops !?
And most importantly, how demanding will the Unreal Engine in version 5 be? When the PHG game is built on Unreal ENgin 4, which should not have such drastic HW demands on a powerful PC. But in this case, it works with the average PC with the FPS limping down :(

I have 9700k 2080 and cant tell between epic and medium

Some stuff on the PC are turned off. Like the transparencies used on the PC somehow are affected. They are completly different to that on the playstation. Hair transparencies look much better on PS than on PC and no amount of tweeking inthe menu settings changes it. I’m willing to bet this is intentional because PS handles AA better.im guessing.

Im playing on a Ryzen 9 3900x with 32gb corsair RAM, 1tb NVMe SSD, and an MSI RTX 2080ti

I should be pulling 100fps, but the game is fairly unoptimised so I’m getting 60fps pretty much flat as the predator and as FT it dips from 60fps down to around 50 when there’s loads of water around or lots of action. Thats with everything on EPIC settings.

I was looking at the lighting and the god rays are pretty spectacular.

It shouldn’t be an issue for either of our rigs though

Edit - try using razer cortexs game booster program
