FPS ISSUES ON PC

just paste it below anything that may be in those files, dont overwrite anything

you mentioned direct x 12. how does one enable that?

in epic settings for the game provide additional command line option -dx12 should do it. but it probably will run worse as its not been developed / optimised with that in mind

Poor performance on my 1050TI too with I5-8300H solid 60 most of the time but dips to 35 a lot. Need a fix please. Loving the game so far aside from poor performance.

Same here.

Hey uk_spawn , can you tell me if your antialiasing procedure fixes the default PC hair problems?
As I’ve documented here: I’d really like to fix this for myself.

I tried this out today with making the engine.ini file…adding those lines to each file. Nothing happened. Im bummed. Maybe they changed it up.
I suppose these codes worked in other Ilfonic games?

I’m very curious how this game will work for me on my new PC I hope for an EPIC setting without dropping below 40 FPS! Otherwise I’ll be disappointed: It will be this Gaming notebook - Intel Core i7 9750H Coffee Lake, 15.6 "IPS anti-glare 1920 × 1080, RAM 16GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB, SSD 256GB + HDD 1TB

On my current AMD FX 8350, 16GB DDR3, and AMD RX 5700 XT 8GB graphics card. My PC has something to do to handle the game at 40 FPS with the EPIC setting with anti-aliasing turned off, but mostly it drops below 30 FPS with larger map details and distances and special effects for shooting and explosions to do so. The trial version was somewhat lightweight or otherwise optimized, but again it worked much better on weaker and worse PCs with 4x core kits, it was not a problem to play on EPIC settings. After the release of the final version, I was worried that on my former 4x core, the EPIC setup game only worked below 25 FPS and less, so I had to make a tunig PC for 8 cores and a graphics card, but I didn’t improve much. I don’t have the budget to invest in the new RYZEN 3600X technology and who if I could play the game on EPIC or film over 60FPS without any drops !?
And most importantly, how demanding will the Unreal Engine in version 5 be? When the PHG game is built on Unreal ENgin 4, which should not have such drastic HW demands on a powerful PC. But in this case, it works with the average PC with the FPS limping down :(

I have 9700k 2080 and cant tell between epic and medium

Some stuff on the PC are turned off. Like the transparencies used on the PC somehow are affected. They are completly different to that on the playstation. Hair transparencies look much better on PS than on PC and no amount of tweeking inthe menu settings changes it. I’m willing to bet this is intentional because PS handles AA better.im guessing.

Im playing on a Ryzen 9 3900x with 32gb corsair RAM, 1tb NVMe SSD, and an MSI RTX 2080ti

I should be pulling 100fps, but the game is fairly unoptimised so I’m getting 60fps pretty much flat as the predator and as FT it dips from 60fps down to around 50 when there’s loads of water around or lots of action. Thats with everything on EPIC settings.

I was looking at the lighting and the god rays are pretty spectacular.

It shouldn’t be an issue for either of our rigs though

Edit - try using razer cortexs game booster program

the graphics are pretty bad…its was obviously a port over… reminds of dark souls 1 when first released on pc

For those who don’t realise it…

A GAME LIKE THIS SHOULD BE RUNNING ATLEAST 100 FPS ON MAX FOR RTX 2080TI or 1080ti
ITS A JOKE THAT A 9900K AND 2080TI CANT RUN THE GAME IN LOBBY AT LIKE 500 FPS or more… and in game 100 OR MORE WITHOUT STUTTERS OR DROPS TO 60

ON TOP OF THAT

I DON’T THINK THAT MOST OF YOU GET IT THEY PORTED THE GAME FROM PS4 DIRECTLY AND NOT SPECIFICALLY MADE IT FROM A PC AND PORTED TO PS4

Now what that means is they focused all of their development for optimizing it for ps4 even tho PS4 players also have issues… but most of us don’t even realise the game is fkd for us cause our PC’s are somewhat decent and high end lol… and think 60 fps is almighty…

WELL ITS NOT…

60 fps should only be a thing if you play this game on 4K at max settings

@Courier @OldKingHamlet @IllFonic

Fix the frames in the game and your shadow quality

This game clearly went through no playtesting whatsoever let alone a period of optimizing.

If anything. It runs even worse on PC now than it did a few months ago.

Doesn’t sound much like you know how CGI is rendered in a game or how games are optimized. PHG is a giant jungle that has to render vast distances.
I think it does a great job at detecting near and far distances, you can see it because the lower resolution of textures are there at first then they pop in with the highresolution and is all dependand on viewing area. You can use a sniper scope to see this dominantly happening.
I would suggest looking into a faster CPU on your motherboard.
i have an i5 4cores and 4 threads. I see a huge bump of about 20fps in video comparisons if ii upgrade to 8 cores. Just saying. You really shouldn’t be hopping mad about PC standards. Everyone has different hardware.

I’m running

9900k
1070
16 gb
SSD

@MassImpact124 First of all my current pc can handle all the releases at 80 fps without drops on max settings at 1080p… and im talking about games like metro exodus… and metro exodus has a lot of details in it…

And you have no right to say OH but ILLFONIC is not a big studio bla bla bla… ok… then let me give you an example of a game called “GTFO”

It has been made by a studio of 10 people… and the game runs at 140 fps on my pc at max…

And the game has also a lot of details in it…

FYI…

RTX 2080TI maxes out Triple A games at 4k on 60 fps without any issues… and on 1080p it maxes out on 200+ fps

Do you know how optimizing in-camera content works? This is a jungle and all levels of detail are visible 360degrees all the time. You tell me how they would optimize that?
