FT does not fear the Predator

Ft is boring because its extremely easy, and is extremely generic. You seem to have a one track mind so I dont think you’re even capable of noticing, but the main prob with ft is how boring the missions are.
They’re so easy that even when you win, it’s not satisfying nor does it feel like an accomplishment.
And preds are super easy to kill atm. So all this cockiness dont mean shit lol.

If someone needs to be a pro level gamer to be able to enjoy a big part of the game then the game is really off. Your argument would hold more value if you linked to a video where you showed that skill yourself, not just picking someone else’s video that specifically supports your point of view.
BloodThirstyLord who plays on the linked video also has a upload where he absolutely wrecks the Predator as FT.

Take a really strong pred and a really strong FT and the pred will get murdered on PC.
This will be like with Evolve alas. Ideally have a pub queue balance and a ranked queue balance. Allows the ransoms to have fun and those who put in the hours and have a lot of skill to have fair games.
It’s so hard to balance otherwise. Not impossible no but wow good luck.
No berserk er is worst class in the game at high level. I don’t miss this many sniper shots but doesn’t matter. I tilted the berserk er so hard he started calling me weak and PC players suck.

Wouldn’t a lot more people playing FT just leave the match early when ~2 or 3 people from the FT were killed because they don’t see a way to win and they could just find another match in seconds?

Why would the nerf the pred and buff the fireteam? Fireteam can already kill predator in a few knife hits. Completely unnecessary to make that change. All it takes is 2 people to kill a predator if they’re good enough. You can’t cater the game to cry babies that leave matches. Most fireteam players win matches without needing to revive anyway. Because they’re good enough. It was the same for F13. If you die well tough shit. Maybe you’ll come back as Tommy Jarvis if not then don’t get your panties in a bunch. And that’s how it should be for this game. If you lose to a predator chances are it was your fault. Could’ve done better. Matches probably could get longer. It will be more tense so there will be less bum rushing so the fireteam will play it safe and stealthily meaning the predator will take longer to find them. If they leave early then big deal. They’ll probably quit the game anyway so why cater to those people? It’s really not hard to survive if your whole team is dead because chances are by that point you’re already waiting for the chopper because the objectives are piss easy. And those predator players claiming they win 90% of matches are full of it lol. Don’t believe everything you hear on the internet without proof. If it’s true well good for them maybe they’ll win more. It’s really not a problem.
It’s about doing it in the right places that will mainly affect the high level players. Let’s say you nerf snipers, which is definitely needed, this should hopefully mainly affect the people who are hitting a ton of shots i.e. the better players.
One of the main issues in general at high level is how much damage the predator takes. They barely have a chance to do anything.
The issue as I see it is that the FT knows the predator is out there and coming for them, it’s just a matter of where and when.
There’s really no element of surprise.
I’d love to be able to stalk the FT waiting for the perfect moment to strike but they can see you coming from a mile away in the trees. They can hear you thumping along on the ground. They can hear you clicking and chirping. All of that is a dead give away that you’re nearby so they get ready for it.
Are predators still successful? Yes, but generally only against PUGs who don’t use comms. If you’ve got an FT with comms and some experience with the game, it is an uphill battle the whole way.
I’m not saying FT needs to be nerfed but the Predator is definitely not scary. I think the main thing is that the FT’s weapons can spit out a tremendous amount of damage in a very short period of time whereas the Predator’s weapons are mostly single shot and in the case of the plasma caster, very obvious.
Most people end up spamming the Combistick as the berserker because the ranged weapons are just not very good or difficult to use without being lit up by the FT in return.
Yes I completely agree. The problem with not fearing the predator because you know he’s out there so it’s not a surprise is inevitable. Nothing they can do about that sadly. It was the same case with F13. But if they remove reinforcements there would definitely be more fear of the predator and would make playing the fireteam more tense which would just be way more fun. Because instead of focusing on killing the predator your focus will shift to completing the missions and getting the fuck outta there.
I think a HUGE change that would help out is if the FT was forced to pause between getting the next objective. Like the person on the radio would say “stand by for next objective Fireteam!” that would create some tense situations because you’re there waiting on where to go. Do you go look for more ammo? Do you complete an additional optional task? Do you hunker down and just wait for the radio to tell you? Adding some extended breaks would make the game less of a race and give the predator time to assess the situation. I think it would create a lot more tension that players want.
Yes that would definitely be much better. It would help create more tense scenarios and it also prevents the fireteam from breezing through the objectives. That is a good idea 👍
This would need longer missions, which are complex for ft. Your idea I mean.
