I was thinking about certain conditions that could change the course of the game. For example, last 4 FT get ā€˜last man standing statusā€™. But then I though that if 5 FT are left, theyā€™d try to kill one off just to get that status šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Maybe, but I think better solutions can be found. Just takes time to think about it. I came up with this idea two weeks ago, but it dawned on me only two days ago, when I remembered about it, that mid/end match could have severe problems

I do like @Thunder-Cats idea because itā€™s simpler and still has element of tactics at the beginning. FT defending the civilians.

Just one idea, which popped up right now:

beginners and veterans could get different jobs - by the matchmaking. Maybe, the beginners just can play as the civilians or alikeā€¦

Thatā€™s a possibility. Still, ranking-type of matchmaking is not present yet, or at least we donā€™t know about it. I was thinking about preds for a bit. They have one very powerful weapon that they couldnā€™t use effectively until played a coop. Can you guess what it is?

Also, using you idea about the two radios, whenever FT who currently is operating the radio dies, the time for reinforcement or to contact Zeus for extraction stops until another FT performs the action of activating the radio. Iā€™m still not sure if FT should be able to call reinforcements and extraction at the same time or if one will interrupt the other.

Also, if only one Pred is left, he gets ā€˜last Pred standingā€™ status buffs. The last 3 FTs left get a ā€˜last man standingā€™ buff. If both buffs are activated, they cancel out each other.

Also, when extraction in not an option, perhaps the map can start shrinking slowly so that preds canā€™t hit and run too much.

If it is used for matchmaking, we do not know.

But it is already used in the context of weaponry. Some weapons are just available if you have more than X points (think of the Katana for example).

So, some tasks could only be available beyond a given limit of points too - for example.

If the basic tasks are chosen wisely this even could lead to noobs playing with veterans in a positive way.

It e.g. could even be the task of the veterans to teach some game aspects to the noobs or alikeā€¦ A tutorial on the flyā€¦ This has some potential:)

Maybe both teams just have a radio, which can call reinforcement as well as the extraction heli - but which just can be used onceā€¦ So, if one team already called the reinforcement, they wonā€™t be able to call the chopper afterwards.

Imagine, both decide to call the reinforcement and then cannot exfil but have to kill all predators. Such things could lead to a diversity of situations / strategies and so on.

Which would be much more interesting then just playing the straight-forward-missions as they yet are. A match, in which the tides swap from one side to the other and back again can be thrillingā€¦

Itā€™s possible. I was reading illfonic tweet replies and matchmaking was mentioned. So there probably is something in place but we donā€™t know about it

Itā€™s a possibility. Hard to know how things would play out when itā€™s randoms or pre-mades. Kinda seems like too many options on the table šŸ˜

I personally do not think there should be any ā€œlast standingā€ reward - on the contrary. The last man standing should be nerfed - as he did not protect his mates well - obviouslyā€¦

I understand, but I think itā€™s needed to make things more fair in endgame if the ratio of FT to Pred is too skewed. Just yo give the side with disadvantage and extra change so they donā€™t RQ because victory seems unattainable. I guess the mode could first be tried without last man standing and if it plays fine in endgame, then it can stay that way.

Maybe, the FTs then ā€œfindā€ a box with explosives with sensors, which they can use to keep the area, which they already have searched, clean of predators permanentlyā€¦

Explosives with sensors are missing for the FT anyway - if you ask me, I would love thatā€¦

That would be fine too. If area is secured, preds canā€™t enter it.

I was also thinking that preds can use the bikes tactically to eliminate many ft at once. Itā€™s a high risk, high reward proposition though, but it is an option. One Pred can trigger countdown and another can protest him so itā€™s not disarmed.

Hmmm, the mission objective could then simply change - POV predator: from ā€œkill themā€ to ā€œstay alive untilā€ or alike.

I think most problematic situations could be cushioned by changing the mission objectives. And some surprising twists and turns also would help to make the game more thrilling.

It is too linear at the moment, if you ask me. No flexibility necessary at the momentā€¦

Nice idea! That would make the self destruction more interesting and if the two succeed, it would feel like some sort of win - at the moment, even if the self destruction is not disarmed, it just feels like a victory for the FT. That could change with this idea, great!
