PissedOffJedi here. How do we feel about the changes brought by update 1.06? Let’s stir it up a little bit. I’m enjoying the cast speed increase on the Net Gun and blinding effects the Predator now has.

I think they did good for now. But more balance does need to happen with certain weapons for sure. Both pred and fireteam side.

Balance based on what? For instance people saying something is op without formulating a strategy to overcome the obstacle is that really something that’s op?

I’m finding matches incredibly frustrating as predator. I’m still loud and hyper visible. No matter how stealthy I try to be I’m still spotted constantly. Can’t hit jack shit with bow. Red trails lead right back to me so I can’t even be stealthy with that weapon. Plasma caster is relatively useless now. Without the instant down you’re immediately shredded. I’m just not having fun as predator anymore. I’m tired of always being chased and having to hide and fucking mudded up snipers and weapons that do fuck all while FT still has God mode abilities. The ONLY weapons that were worth something were the net, combistick, and shoulder cannon. 2 of those have been nerfed. So I guess I’ll just go fuck myself now.

Id just like to see more of the weapons on both sides get some buffs/reworks to bring them up in viability.
Assault rifles and smgs for fireteam, Smart disc needs a total rework, and the war club/elder sword, while not useless, are still not in any right better than other pred weapons. Lots of weapons to use, but alot of it feels like filler, thats all.

I’m loving the update. I’ve only had 3 games tonight but it actually feels like i’m hunting the fireteam now.

I feel the same way. Their knifing damage, bunny hopping, and parrying tactics are basically off the table now. If they can’t do that, they’d better stick together with their fingers on the trigger and sweat dripping down their face in absolute terror because I’m coming for their ass.

the feeling of being on the fireteam and running low on supplies and needing to look for them, needing to collect ammo off dead AI, needing to find health packs in bases… the pred can really run you dry if you sit around too long
Game statistics .Win/Loss ratio and weapons used to win etc. they collect telemetry like that to make decisions.
The knife is stil bad. i play both ft and predator and i can still 1vs1 a predator with just a knife.
And the spotting…Jesus

I guess if pred sucks and only tries to melee you then yeah, 1v1 vs any GOOD pred with a knife and they will plasma you or bow you or some ranged damage… thats what i do when i see rambo wit his knife coming at me.
the spotting and sounds of the pred are the only things they didnt change that i hoped they would. but we shall see how it goes, its not been long enough to draw a definite conclusion yet
If you net a Fireteam member that doesn’t have a teammate to cut it off for him, maybe even with the Trapper Perk, I take the advantage of a 6-8 second “stun” to pull out my club and swing that thing around like a mad man. It seems to be the only fitting time to use a weapon that slow - when the enemy can’t fire back at you.

2 matches in a row I’m immediately spotted while still. From there on they have me. Totally fucking broken. Even got some shots in with the bow. 3 on the same guy didn’t down him. I’m fucking out man I need a break. This simply isn’t fun. The hunter isn’t the hunter

I agree the visibility/spotting system for the Predator right now is an issue, and I have a feeling this will be addressed in the next update or two. To remove spotting completely would force everyone to mic up and treat this more as a realistic situation. Maybe add an auto-rotating compass at the top of your HUD (like Call of Duty or something) so you can yell out “165!” and everyone looks in that general area to try and spot the Predator.
This would also make the Predator in invisibility form MUCH more lethal if he can’t just be tagged with a big green marker on his chest anymore.
Yes I do the same, but in fairness, you dont need the club, if anything club takes longer because you have to pull it out. I netgun and just wrist blade fireteam asscheeks till they die, it still works, Its not that elder/club are useless, its just that there is no incentive to use them other than they look cooler, and you could argue that even that isnt true, because unlike both of them, you can throw a combistick. They just need something special about them beyond cool predator weapon hits stuff yenno?
