yah no thanks.nothing about the art screams that they know what they are doing or care. Comics don’t look like this. they aren’t a mish mash of art tools …show me a black and white inked cover and show me what BWS can do or this guy
It needs a hint of realism and a further study of poses and light and dark, framing. A veteran in anatomical photography. This new shit is fan made with little experience on what pops. He//she only knows what their family fanbase is asking of them and they never get gud.
1st off isolate their bodies. The predators look so bad I can’t tell where it’s anatomy is. Wolverines left arm has NO impact whatsoever. Its looking like its curving towards the camera. So what? Show me a strong arm extend pose. It should be going straight in front of him. Meaning NOT towards the camera!
Wolverines right arm is overshadowed by the rest of his body. YOU BASICALLY CAN"T see it in his silhouette.
I don’t care if this artist knows anatomy, so what?! most people out of art college know anatomy. It takes a seasoned or informed artist to know how to frame their characters.
Everything about the predator is done wrong. Imagine darker lighting to frame its face and leg muscles.
Face should be exactly in profile with wolverine. Wolverine should be the same. Exact profiles. PROFILES are the most striking angles you can give. PROFILES are iconic!!! Even in shadow, profiles are strong. This artist shows a slightly off profile. This sucks!
Predators wristblades aren’t even showing their full profile either. When in profile, the wristblades showcase their implied feirousity. These are slightly off and don’t give the viewer their intended angle.
Thats why I said Wolverines fists should also be in this profile so that his claws would pop out. these show too little at their present angle. They don’t pop out. Its terrible composition and posing.
What I see in that cover is some representative made a crappy diaramma and took a photo of it on their iphone, sent it to the artist and told them draw it EXACTLY LIKE this. That artist took them literally and traced the fucking photo. It looks like someone ran it through Midjourney and told the guy to trace it, clean it up.
Dark Horse used to put out some solid books in the 90s in the AVP universe, but these days its so cringy how they go about financing the work and by the time they are done they a poor quality of story or a poor attachment of artist. Thank you disney. fucked that up royally.

This need to begin with them capturing him by knocking him out with advanced tech. They remove his adamantium.
He awakens on a jungle/volcanic alien reserve planet with a new skeleton and is hunted.
His new skeleton can be a new alien metal that is indestructible as well but somehow vulnerable to a new predator weapon only.
Or they can give him bones to make it fair.
Say he loses his head. Will it regenerate?
If preds can laser a hole through earth from space then simply killing/capturing wolverine should be no issue.
They want a’fair’ hunt and get merc often because of it.

We’ll get le mutant DNA harvesting upgrade plotline or its just a straight brawl which pred loses full stop. Probably depends if this is a one shot or not.

I can kind of buy this though because of their genetically modified origins. They even take healing steroids and whatnot, they like their chemicals.

Lets not forget this is marvel were talking about aka disney who did a shit job with thier alien and predator comics. Apparently now theres some fucking human/devil looking thing that’s in charge of all the aliens…and predators are gettin dropped like flies. By some orphan girl…single handedly. The alien artwork looked like shit also. Only some what good thing that happened was hiring dan to do the movie or it would of been worse than The predator

Damn yea I hate the preds to turn to fodder so easily. Yea the orphan girl story arc was depressing.
I asked chat gpt to write a short story based on a yautja and even the ai let the pred survive.

um no. you’re talking about the new The Predator film. The director there explicitly said they (in the predator 2017) were enhanced predator (genetically).
Super Predator is the correct term for Predators (2012). And they were only passively called that and the director said they were more like young bloods or younger in general . no steroids mentioned. To me they were just from another planet and evolved to look differently but ultimately they are part of the same yautja species.

I know. Although it wasn’t said in predators 2010 that ‘enhanced’ idea was on the table.
It’s mentioned in the video above ’super predators explained’.
The predator 2018 is all about dna enhanced predators (upgrade).
I enjoyed every predator film that came out regardless; even though they were not what I hoped for at various points.
I think after pred 2 we should have got a trilogy of predator films following a young blood and his clan passed down from his father.
Apocalypto style through space. Subtitles.
Ship designs similar to pred 2 lost clan.
The Youngblood in the second film faces bad blood clan of preds and the third film could have been predators 2010 or a film introducing Xenomorph and space marines at the end.

Predator, Predator 2, Predators and Prey all follow the same idea. The PRedator was just a money hump that Disney wanted to exploit.
I don’t take The Predator seriously at all nor AVP.
I think they are still on the right path. A new predator film would still be great or a sequel to Arnold’s classic to which they would follow up with Dutch in the future as he pretty much left a gaping hole in the franchise unless you PHG but thats not a film.
Some fan conceptualized ARnold as old Dutch in a fan made toy. Looked fucking awesome!

He’s going to have a pretty massive edge considering their drugs are strong enough to keep them going with one arm and some buckshot in them or whatever was happening with the inhaler thing in P2.
The experience/age thing has always a cop out. Realistically how many 100s of years of experience do you need to use an autoaim caster or swing a sword at a being thats like half your size and can’t match you physically anyway.
