They should, but as I’ve mentioned, that costs money. Legendary for sure had to dish out some big bucks for the big four, after Godzilla. Whatever they want to license next from them, if they can at all, would need to be worth the cost, i.e. not just some cameo or throwaway monster. It would have to be very central to the plot.

Well, there’s plenty still that are popular. But the way the MV is now, it would have to be either the main antagonist, or a very important ally. And after the likes of the last villains, that leaves very, very little choices. Btw, Destoroyah is the only one they can bring in as an antagonist, as its power at least outweighs MG, and possibly Ghidorah. Hedorah and Biollante, MAYBE…the latter at least could be explained through dark sites and governments experimenting with Titan DNA.

I’d prefer a Destroyah be used in a way that it expands on the other titans. Godzilla has an earth army built up at this point and it’s basically ignored. Atleast KOTM had a reason for Mothra being the only one there to back him up.
Yes, I recall his origin, however for this specific use, I postulated Ghidorah DNA just being in the water, since one of his heads had just been removed and I really never got the sense of why a tiny crustacean would develop wings (not that I don’t want them there, just that I want a good reason for them and in the MV, Ghidorah DNA at the scene of the O2 destroyer detonation seems as good as any.).
I only suggest Megalon in jest. I would MUCH rather have an original Titan as a boss for Kong down there. As much fun as Meg would be, I like the idea of ever expanding the number of titans down there. Maybe even have ol’ Anguirus be like the wild card and give Kong some trouble, like a little a-hole neighbor…
In any case, I desperately want Biollante for a full on G movie in the MV with just the 2 of them. She should be that dangerous. And if they were gonna do a hatchling G, there had better be a female G somewhere in Hollow earth, laying that egg that we get to see!
