GODZILLA (and other kaiju)

This here is the even remotely closest I can get to a workable image for a shirt. It would need to undergo a lot of corrections and alterations, but on a bright red/orange shirt, it “could” look good.

It’s beautiful 🤩🥲

It is. But you see all the tiny lines and dots etc? Those have to be expanded or eliminated because the vinyl would be too thin to cut for my machine. The image would be cool, but much simpler, you understand. Also that’s the edge of the image, so the clouds would just end. It may be better to print orange on a black shirt.

Correction… the image would be cool IF it turned out well innthe illustrator program first.

Yes

Ist issue! Whooooo!

Never been a fan of MMPR (you’d think I would be, but no. The Zords always looked super cool though.), but this piqued my interest.

I am somewhat confused on why Zilla is not fighting a Zord

The power rangers are nothing without their giant robots lol

He demolishes the dragon zord in the issue. Trashes it with almost no effort.

As he should. Idk how strong Power Rangers are but I doubt they can rival or surpass Godzilla.

Depends on the team and what zords. But Zyuranger are pretty decent I think. But yeah, they get their asses handed to them a lot in the show, but the stupidest of monsters, so them trying to take on Godzilla is ignorant. But in context of the story’s lore they have no clue who Godzilla is, they think it’s just another of Rita’s monsters. But they find out pretty quick.

Adam Wingard will reportedly be returning to direct the new film, which seems to be just Kong solo. Take that as you will, depending on how you feel about him as a director. Tentative title is “Son of Kong”, though please keep in mind that is likely a production title and is not the official name of the film, but likely does hint strongly to an aspect of the plot.

Kong gets 2 movies before being replaced lel.

Predict how he sacrifices himself /thread

More importantly, when are we getting Monsterverse Angirus?
not the skeleton easter egg.

That easter egg was so cool though. And that depends on whether Toho wants to let Legendary have the rights or not, and if it’ll be affordable lol. Because I can see Anguirus fitting in just fine, since he’s likely from the Hollow Earth and there’s bound to be more of them.

As for Kong, I dunno, that’s going to have to be some big, big bad, bigger than at least Mechagodzilla, since Kong was roughing him up pretty well. Everyone wants Destoroyah, so maybe Legendary will fork over the cash for him? I can see that working out as a closure for the Monsterverse; Destoroyah kills Kong, Godzilla battles it but is wrecked hard, goes out in a nuclear blaze of glory that also kill Dessy, final scene or after credits show a survey team finding a new family of Kongs (or a single Kong that has been living alone this whole time) that has been surviving in the Hollow Earth. No new Godzilla, since the rights will be reverting back to Toho, and the new Kong inherits the title of Alpha.

This COULD work, but there would be personality issues with a new Kong. The one we know is friendly towards humans because of his relationship with the Iwi on Skull Island. Any new Kongs found in the Hollow Earth wouldn’t be the same way, he would be wild and aggressive.

Yea, honestly not even going to watch it if it is going to be anything like GvK unfortunately, and knowing Adam’s own words regarding GvK, there’s little doubt for that. Time to sleep until Edwards or Dougherty come back.

Can’t wait for Mark and Madison to totally not question what the hell Team Kong was doing for Apex and have Kong be jobbed once more.

Toho won’t let them kill G. That was one of their stipulations when giving Legendary permission to use him.

And, if they’re in Hollow Earth, would t it make more sense to put Megalon in there to battle Kong? Just putting that out there…

I should think Destroyah should retain his origin as an offspring of the oxygen destroyer. But this time, mix it with some G DNA and Ghidorah DNA, since in KOTM, they were both caught in the explosion and all. Maybe save him for a proper Godzilla 4.

I agree

Oh yeah, that’s right. Then there would have to be a second Godzilla, by offspring or otherwise then. Because you CAN kill him, but there has to be another one of some kind, to continue the trope of “you can’t kill Godzilla”.

Megalon makes sense, but since there’s an entire unknown ecosystem down there, any amount of creature oddities could exist. Plus, it doesn’t always have to be Toho monsters; we can have original beasts as well, like the Warbats were.

Destoroyah had a specific origin though; it wasn’t a DNA chimera, that was Biollante. Destoroyah was simply a microscopic, pre-cambrian lifeform, but through the effects of the OD over 40 years it began to mutate and became what we witnessed. But it should for sure be saved as the ultimate bad, to close the Monsterverse. Like, we’ve seen the likes of Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla already, two of the most powerful villains in the franchise. There’s no one else, logically, based in the “grounded” universe, that could upstage them both except for some original creation.

I agree, they’ve already created numerous OG Titans and haven’t really utilized them out of the MUTOs & Skullcrawlers. At the very least they should do more of a blend of OG and new Titans, since we know they can make decent new ones.
