While you’re not wrong, I was comparing MG Beam to Ghidorah Lightning. Even in the Antarctica Battle when the two start grappling, Godzilla already has his skin visibly broken and scarred from Passive Ghidorah Lighting, not even having used his mouth based Gravity Beams.

In comparison, even with a small boost in the beam Clash, Mechagodzilla failed to break Godzilla’s skin with a direct hit with his Photon Scream.

Now let’s compare this to Rodan’s own battle with Ghidorah. He flew straight at him and spiraled in the air with him, Ghidorah Lighting and all. While I admit that all 3 Grav Beams would fuck him up while the single one incapacitated him, the same can be said of Mothra’s Stinger which does have Venom iirc. The dude was back up not too long later just like he was back up from the 1 Grav Beam hit. The difference is that Mothra Stinger punched through his skin/shell. Ghidorah Lightning didn’t even do that.

Lemme guess, Wingard? Listen, i can usually take statements for what they are, but when it comes to this movie they really just fall flat for me. This just says to me that Godzilla was forced to use up all of his energy for the plot just so MG could then be threatening despite his glaring weaknesses. At that point, you could just make MG strong as hell without these weaknesses and then I wouldn’t care.

Yea, but that just speaks to how weak Kong is/was, not the other way around. Okay, okay, yea he got his shit kicked in and had to get his heart restarted but he’s still bitchmade. Keep in mind that Base Axe (no Power) was actually topping MG over itself with a one handed swing from Kong despite dealing little to no damage. Either that Axe is good, or MG is just bad.

Killing Prime FodderCrawlers does not make you into a Titan killing machine. MG will literally become scrap metal if he fights anyone else than Skullcrawlers, Probably Kong. Dude will win against Catmazotz because he passively glows red like Rodan as per Kingdom Kong Author Statement.

I always just saw MG as terribly weak in general, but once Ghidorah took over it became an absolute beast. Like an EVA going Berserk, in essence. I try not to go into the fanboy wanking that Wingard does, I try and just be logical about it as best I can. I think if Waste Of Screen Time Kid didn’t use the machina of the flask, MG would have eventually overpowered them both. You can see how much more aggressive it gets after Ghidorah takes control and it begins to act and move on its own. I think if it had been able to sever its link to the computer (again, machina, because it should have easily been able to do that) it would be pretty much unstoppable at that point. I mean it just makes sense, but fanboy Wingard wanted it his way.

Too much reading, and I’m not on the toilet so I’d just be wasting time talking about fictional monsters fighting. Maybe next time I poop I’ll be more patient to read an essay on why I’m wrong about fictional giant monsters beating eachother up.

The axe was melting him with those little blue pulses and turned him into paper.
I legit don’t think MG couldve taken a direct hit from Godzilla’s breath. G wasn’t up for a beam battle in that state though so we’ll say he shot it at the axe for lazy reasons. Rodan probably couldve melted MG tbh.

MG was a glass cannon third partying two weakened foes, the nuclear punches are something but that’s like trying to hit a snake with its own venom. I don’t get why every monster in that movie is trying to use G’s nuclear breath against him when we’ve established he’s immune to his own breath and can fire it at his feet. Axe doesn’t make sense, nuclear punches don’t make sense. Both might be more effective vs things that aren’t Godzilla.

You’re mostly right, he IS a glass cannon, but a cannon that can still solo most of the MV probably. Almost no titans have beams or attacks like Godzilla & Ghidorah, or a weapon like a charged axe. And another reason he bullied Godzilla, confirmed by Wingard, is he is always 1 step ahead. Idk if he would be equally ahead of every other Titan but considering Godzillas battle prowess is top tier I think he would be.

That would make all the fliers top tier though unless they have to melee. You could say that for anything.

That means they ain’t top tier, since the can only melee except Mothra but the silk is non-lethal. MG has more long range attacks than anything in the MV, and possibly has one of the, if not the highest reaction speed & combat speed. Combat speed is not travel speed btw

He sure didn’t when he started getting wailed on. Only strat is jet boost punching stuff and the beam that kills skullcrawlers. He took 1 hit from melty axe and wasn’t able to put up a fight after. He was getting LEG SWEPT by one handed base axe. More than likely he’s deceptively lightweight cuz muh jets.
Gravity beams were far more effective than proton scream. Only reason that beam battle even went his way was because godzilla just drilled a hole into the earths core for shits and giggles.

All the Toho kaiju are OP in some form, rodan just lands on him and explodes. MG is hard countered by MUTOs moreso than Godzilla. They’re drawn to the hollow earth energy he literally runs on. As for the rest of the MV we don’t know because they get 0 development. He could take a Warbat lel. All the heavy weights run him over. Pretty sure theres some giant elephant thing and a digging thing.
