GODZILLA (and other kaiju)
It really doesn’t. Some films hold up pretty well, I love 84’s aesthetics and even today its pretty gorgeous. Rewatched 54 recently and its got some choice moments, but it still has some stunning visuals.
some stuff intrigue me, like the original. Then the fairies kick in and the giant butterfly stuff. then i’m like I’m too old for this stuff. back when anything goes in the 70s really gave me the chills in the late 80s, but now since everything is available online, i think I most of it flies over my head.
Although I think the newer stuff rebooted kind of does hit home alot harder in 4K.
Definitely, godzilla hits the mark with people during its release.
I still think Shin Godzilla from 2016 will keep with me for a long time. Its very much an Alien for a new generation, unfortunately a niche few keep this lore alive.
Most definitely the film maker keeps the idea that a film can out live outself through the lore and there is so much more in the directors cut (or concept art) that nobody knows about.

It will be like 30 to 40 dollars lmao. It’s crazy how this G21 looks better than anything recent SH has put out. To put icing on the cake, Hiya Toys has stated that they would like to do the kaiju cast of GKOTM as well.
I kinda clown on Hiya for their Alien/Pred stuff, but this Godzilla unironcally looks great.

Lol. I had not forgotten. I haven’t put that b&w image into my program yet. It’s gonna be a bit. Plus, the vinyl supply is not what I’d call abundant this second.
However, this image is an original illustration of mine. It’s far from complete anyway, but it can’t be put on a shirt, unless it were to be screen printed at a shop.
