I play Ft aswell as Pred, but I have found when Playing with Randoms none of them ever run grenades, but when I play with the squad we all but one use grenades.
I have had some pretty great nade throws hitting the pred to the back with a nade for 200xp and then a clip of bullets before they even know what hit them.
When playing solo or even as the Predator I rarely run into ft that use nades. So im very curious On why this is? Do ppl believe nades are a waste of a gear slot or what?
Unused. Those things fucking hurt.
Hand grenades? There’s only a very limited use for them. Its like the constellations need to align for you to actually hit a predator (and you’re not going to hit a good one). If you see a predator coming, use bullets from AR/LMG. Best things you can do.
Hand grenades are great for recon and Dutch.
Unfortunately assault can’t run grenades without sacrificing med kits or field syrette.
For Support, It’s either grenades or ammo pouches, so that’s probably going to depend on team comp.
I hit almost all my throws for big damage. ( i.e pred scream in pain) I play like Roice from Predators I try to hide in plain sight and let my fellow ft members distract it so I can get that cook in. By far the best nade throw Ive had was on Overgrowth in the constitution zone. Was on high ground and the Pred jumps directly in front of me with back turned. I do not mark i do not shoot. I cook the nade and auto throw it, bounces off the back of the Pred explodes and was able to get around 25 bullets from the scar as the explosion happened Instant 2nd wind. Was insane. Its was like 200xp and then like 345xp with the bullets.
Most games I use 2 out of my 4 on recon with gear head and get on average 145xp per nade.
Yeah they do. I think the moment you get hit with a nade for big damage you change your entire game plan lol.
I really don’t understand running med kits and the stims. There are to many med kits that are spawn in the same location every game for me to justify wasting a gear slot on a med kit. The ammo bags are a necessary but in my personal opinion med kits are not
Well the idea is just having more resources than predator since how inconsistent pig spawns are if the ft is wining trades each engagement on a long obj where ft doesn’t move to another camp you can just starve the predator out he only has 2 heals vs the ft having 36+
However I do agree grenades atm are underated they do way more dmg than you think a single grenade on elder takes like 15 percent

Throwing grenades near my team mates if i see the predator is going to melee them.
A good predator is going to destroy all the spawned med kits. Not only that there are instances when you can’t find any and you really need one since multiple people are injured. When playing support I get stims, med kit and ammo bags. I do feel better having the med kit then what? Grenades? Since everything else is completely useless or ends up hurting you (smoke for instance).
I find the usage for grenades even more rare then med kits. Why bother with a grenade when 1 AR mag downs a predator (assuming you get all bullets in)? I am not saying you can’t get lucky as you said in your previous post but I do think its very rare.
Well if I had more gear points, I’d try them out but seeing as I get a whole 5 points and have shit health, not likely.
Grenades are more useful than the other throwable’s.
Back in the day where game strategy mattered, they use to put a large grey or red circle out at a distance where the grenade usually caused the most damage. In this game, its just …toss and forget and pray it does not end up behind you. I think its by design.
Scouts are different. If you play the scout on ft you are a true player I respect that
That is also very true. But a good predator needs to know where all of them spawn in each camp. I more look for ammo crates to blow up I like to use med kits as bate as most of them are out in the open for the most part.
If Med Kits are your preference run them I love a good support player even if they are a support assault build. Run it help the team love that man. Hope I get to Play side by side with you.

I like cooking grenades then hitting a predator in a tree it’s so satisfying.
Nah, I use nades all the time. They’re dope, just gotta be the right situation. Pred performing a claim, pred in a tree, pred in corner, over the head of a pred who’s fleeing. I think the underuse has more to do with forgetting they’re on your belt, or not naturally using the R1 button in a clutch situation.
I run grenades on Dutch, Assault and Support. I put Predators into second wind all the time with them… but it’s kinda sketchy todo it right because I use downed FT member as bait.
If the Predator downs a player and looks like he’s going to go for a claim — then I toss my nades at them.
Predators snarl and scream when those bad boys explode! 💥
