Now perry is fine, they nerf that so hard (rightly). Just melee two time and then shoot one plasma or one bow or throw your combi. I usually use combi throw for an instant kill (2 melee + combi throw is enough to knock down) or one/two melee and quick charge arrow.

In Predators (movie, I believe that was the name) someone defended a predator in 1 vs 1 with a katana by slicing. Those where even SUPERIOR predators something. So its not impossible.

He clearly is having a tough time understanding that he got his ass beat by a special forces member with a combat knife🤣 Like, it never occurred to him that in “real life” (which they keep trying to use as a reference to defend their argument🤣) special forces train extensively in martial arts and knife combat. And that just because you’re an 8 foot alien with fancy wrist blades you’re still very vulnerable to having a combat knife stabbed into some very important and vital arteries which can result in death 🙄

Fireteam member (with extensive hand to hand combat and knife training) manages to evade the blow and drives his combat blade hilt deep into your heart…you think you should be able to just laugh that off and carry on with your melee fantasy?

Predators have arteries.
Predators have organs.

Predators bleed…

…and if it bleeds, we can kill it…

…and Predators die. Simple.

What? You think because you’re a Predator you should be able to win every melee just because that’s the fantasy you have in your head, with no clear knowledge or frame of reference to the original movies, comics etc that are CANON and have been used to base this game off??

I see this argument a lot, adapt and what not. But like, your 2 hit combo then plasma, try that shit on anyone who’s good at Parry and they will parry the first attempt and you’ll be dead or atleast in second wind because of the stun the parry causes

Just pointing out that in no way shape or form could a 160-200 pound human use a 6 inch blade to “parry” strikes from a 7 foot assumably 350-450 pound humanoid with weapons much heavier and proven more durable. So don’t go talking about cannon like that makes a lick of sense. If your argument is that it’s a game and it’s a necessary function ok, but trying to say it makes any sense whatsoever is laughable. The “parry” would get run through and you’d be stabbed.

Picture this, the predator swings in with his wrist blades, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and then finally he lies downed.
The predator, more muscled and far better trained with far superior weaponry getting his attack not only deflected but the recoil of it causing him to stumble back a bit.

(The scenario about the seven hits is a scout using wristblades to kill an owlf trained support. I just want someone to need seven his to knife a scout into second wind with the bane and knife perks. A balance)

Parry is important, but there should be a melee option for people better at parrying than me. I only get downed from melee because I’m not the best at parrying, never because they were allowed access to my sides or back.

you cant apply real physics calculations to a game with a 7ft alien… its a game.

None of it makes any logical sense or follows the rules of physics in our world nether does it have to.

It just has to be fun to the majority and balanced for the majority.

Parrying should be less effective against certain weapons like the Combi Stick and War Club. It either should not block as much damage or the knife could break after a certain number of parries. It’s crazy that a small knife can be that effective against an 8-foot double sided spear being wielded by 7-foot tall advanced alien hunter.
