That doesn’tt prove anything. In japanese swordfighting theres a famous theory of sword fighting that to paraphrase the relevent bit. “In a duel the only time one person will clearly win is if they are extremely superior to there opponent, many times a less skilled opponent is able to achive victory through sacrifice wherein a less skilled person will be able to hit a person and kill or maim them by sacrificeing there own life…”
Thats what I got out of It. Thats paraphrasing from the book of five rings. There was alot going on there besides " oh,cool look how hes fighting a predator toe to toe"
I think it was ment to express his desperation but also his resolve. he was skilled but no where near as skilled as the predator yet he was also well learned so he knew it was possible to stop fighting like a person who expected to live through the fight he would be able to kill the presator at the same time but there was no fucking way for him to win that. That scene showcase alot of detail and thought it showed that the writers were educated, in Asian dueling culture and philosophy.i mean its not that weord of a call up the book of 5 rings is a very popular asiam dueling philosophy book
Btw, I’m not submit ing this twords any side of some arguement I just thought I’m just pointing out what I saw in that scene. I’m not tryinf to say a person wpuld never ever be able to kill a predator idgaf in the sense of how it applies to this arguement.
