I’ve also been 100 since the first 48 hours and have every weapon lvl 10. I have lots and lots and lots of hours in the game. It’s cool we can outsmart Ft’s, my entire point every time I say anything about parrying, is you are limiting game play options. Yes we all know the work around, but it should not make certain builds unusable against good teams. Sure maybe not strong or not in meta, but no weapons should be rendered useless. And unless you bring a net gun AND catch them alone so the team doesn’t knife them out. Melee is useless against seasoned FT members

An extremely competent FT with all 4 playing hunt the predator, fuck the mission becomes a giant game of tag. In the end I may get one of them or none. I still win because they failed their primary mission.

it does feel cheap to have to net someone or range them in a 1v1 because of this

If I only kill one I don’t take it as a victory. I’m happy I’m not dead but I need atleast half the team dead to even feel ok about it, but that’s also subjective

You just have to get real proficient with a melee weapon of choice and you will never lose a 1v1, if you are smart about your execution. It’s all about picking your moments and being unpredictable to the fire team.

someone had mentioned an FT sword somewhere. if it took a weapon slot and/or required a perk or something making it a trade off that might be cool

or a machete

That’s all I’ve been trying to say. Game play options are limited because of knives and parry and that’s never a good thing. If you want to be an effective ambush melee killer you NEED a net gun which is half of your weapon slot devoted to an item just to make your other item useful

right but lets say face to face. dont they get a prompt every time a melee strike can be parried?

ya can agree

I’m sorry but I’ll have to disagree. You can parry infinitely and just keep swinging. If you don’t swing to try and time between my strikes I’m hitting you for massive damage and if you do swing my barrage of knife attacks will parry. I’m not saying you can’t win1v1 as Predator at all I’m just saying it’s a gamble going blade to blade only with FT members.

its better than it was so can live with it. pretty sure anyone could come up with a better mechanic though.

Well it’s broken because swinging your knife costs 0 stamina, AND parry drains stamina but doesn’t require stamina to use! So there is NO skill involved! Pull your knife out and just keep swinging it’s literally nonsense lolol

Yes, and you never give them the opportunity, you attack from the side or back and they can’t parry. With gloves it’s combo, cloak, jump to their side and combo again, rinse repeat. With the combistick, combo from the side or back, cloak, jump behind and you have their back.

or do the old point blank slam

I love that you just roll with the game as is and figure out the best way to win, like respect that’s awesome. So I don’t wanna come across like NO YOU ARE WRONG cause really you are right you can work around it but it just requires a lvl of ignorance to the FT I’ve had preds try hopping around and I track them fine and the cloak at close range helps absolutely nothing. Could be cause I’m on PS4 so the cloak just doesn’t look as good

I’m on PS4 also, sometimes they do track while I’m cloaked, so I’ll bounce out and try something else.

Not everyone understands how to deal with this; after a couple of claw hits, the FT player fights off the third, the easiest. After 2 hits, run back and shoot him with a plasma cannon / bow and he will fall.

The cop in question used his intellect and cunning to defeat the creature. One reason the Yautja choose to hunt Ooman. This is a good point by the way.
