This is so cool. Is it on the new map ?

It’s a mission to destroy a Yautja body captured by STGZ. It isn’t an alien reference or Easter egg.

It’s not a alien reference it’s a autopsy on a predator body

Ah shit… Theres only one thing that explodes a chest outward like that. It is indeed an alien chestburster easter egg. Its likely just a nod though, rather than foreshadowing for some alien content.

In autopsies, ribs arent pulled outwards. They are sawed off and pulled out that way. No. This is definitely a nod to a chestburster.

Depends on the autopsy, if it’s a standard Y incision then a device called a chest spreader is used that does lift the rips up and out of the way. This is done so they can sow you back up again for the funeral.
A more comprehensive autopsy involves using a bone saw to remove the ribs.
This is done during vivisection so you can see how everything works while the subject is still breathing.

Personally I think they vivisected it.

Looks like something was taken out of it’s left side, like there is an empty cavity left over. They could have extracted its heart. :(

Likely they did, I mean you’d want to preserve individual organs for study, right.

Maybe they’re doing some mad science and we’ll fight STGZ troops with Yautja organs.

It must have been among other things as its a huge cavatiy considering it would take up most the area of its lungs too. So heart, lungs, and possible the stomach or pancreas or even bladder.

Assuming they have similar organs to us, yeah. We may blow up the body but STGZ got something anyway.

Not a chestbuster but a autopsy, chestbuster has a much contained but messy hole opens only in the chest area.

Interesting. Still I think its too… Obvious to not be an intentional nod to alien at the least. Even if you could explain it with some form of autopsy.

I wish it was a Chest Burster, but I think when we do start seeing hints they’ll be hidden, maybe in the next ruins wall art or something like that.

Thats a good point.

Id like that. I dont necessarily ever want xenos in this game. But I love how alien vs predator portrayed the history and predator involvement and in that respect I would love the references with xenos carved into the walls of temple ruins.

I have an idea that they do have things hidden already or the start of things.

The golden idols we collect are related to the Yautja in some way, I keep thinking at some point we will be tasked with adding them to a site to open a door or something similar.

I don’t have any proof they are hiding things for later but see signs. The other sign I see is in the maps, each one has a flat edge or more than one, it almost appears as those edges will line up and make either a super map or missions will cross from one to another.

Thats actually a very interesting revelation. Perhaps you are right
