Well I hear Taiwan is rich in resources

They wouldn’t have defeated the government at all

They may have been able to kill everyone in the capitol but the response team would arrest or kill the rioters

But if proud/boogaloo boys coordinated afterward…

For sure. It’s the military were taking about. You think they haven’t though through these types of scenarios and don’t have backup plans. You literary turn off the internet or phone lines and communication stops. Then you take back therrirories one at a time when the enemy is disorganized

It’s just a few gov officials. There care heirarchies for them and next person down the line would take over. It amounts to nothing

Oh yeah and same for the coup we perpertuated in Ukraine against their elected government. Giving Ukraine nuclear weapons puts them at about 10 minutes flight time to Moscow. Just Cuban missile crisis 2.0

Ukraine was foolish to give up nukes when they had them. That’s the best way to keep anyone out of your affairs

Im originally ukrainian and i was in the country during the takeover. I was in the west which was pretty safe though. But we still had protests. No violence, but i think one if the military centers in the city was lightly torched from the outside. It was more of a game for us; though we were serious about the cause, noone really picked up arms. Main conflict was in the capital, but a few other cities has escalation as well

This is why our founding fathers wanted to keep government small

It was to declare their neutrality, being on the border of another superpower. But we installed rabid wardogs to replace the peaceful guys so militarization of ukraine and protection of investors here we come

I think when a superpower decides to mess with small fries, other superpowers have to be very careful not to cause a bigger conflict. Sometimes you just negotiate and cut your losses

Update

Alexei Navalny was arrested the second he touched down in Russia 😟

We mess with small fries all the time. Just under the pretense that they started it by shooting at our tours in restricted airspace and firing at our rockets or making the grave mistake of retaliating against our allies that need control of all of the territory west of the river jordan lol.
Needs a narrative.

Look at Gaza and Operation Cast Lead (ahem The Gaza Massacre) where basically all we’ve done is defend their apartheid while Israel shoots at teenagers at the border despite calling cease fires. Drone strikes are wonderful surgical assassination tools with “oopsy collateral damage” that are very good at killing children and riling people up but has none of the drawbacks of occupation or an active war. Absolutely no one is going to stop you from droning countries that lay outside interest groups.
After Israel finally got enough angry hand waves from Iran for their RECORDED WAR CRIMES they reportedly disengaged from the gaza strip, but what they actually meant was they moved 8000 israeli settlers out and moved 14,000 into the west bank. More or less an open air prison since 2005. And under international law Gazi is still considered occupied but occupied by us and our fucking drone strikes thus ending the occupation of Gaza without ending the occupation of Gaza!

Israel our greatest ally and the power of narrative.

War is hell. Just perpetuated the cycle of hate, and no end in sight

Just watched the episode 6. Feels like noone is on the right side of things. No communication or negotiations. Just death. Sad

War isn’t about hate anymore

It’s about money

What’s funny is it’s not even a war. Just a really big prison that makes the Berlin wall look like summer camp. Airspace is locked down along with imports, exports, and foreign aid and IDF shoots anyone at the wall. Not a war & they don’t actually want to move in because its an apartheid. Jobs don’t even exist there anymore. They do what they can short of genociding their neighbors.

Actually havent watched it yet

I mean it harbors hate

So it’s a zero sum cause; a bunch of people die just to show that they’re still engaged

Seems worse cause it’s like there’s no end in sight. At least in war there’s a conclusion, some kind of treaty signed and people get to move on. Here it’s permanent tension

No cause. No engagement. It’s segregation by a different name because they aren’t Israeli. People in Gaza are stuck there at Israel’s mercy they’re trapped between Israel’s border wall, blockades, and the sea. Gaza occassionally tries to organize and fight back because Israel controls their border, water supply, electricity and communications infrastructure but then they get droned striked and get quiet again. Kill a couple of their kids and they go away right?

The one engagement was the gaza “war” after gaza attempted their first real retaliation by shooting down drones and firing back at occupants. So Israel waltzed in and killed 1,500 people or so and left with 13 casualties probably gives you a general idea of how that story was spun back home.

Is that region some kind of insurance policy for israel. Something they can always spin into a threat or a provocation to get outside support?

Israel’s border wall is because they anticipated great neighborly relations after contesting Palestinian statehood. Holy land, jungle hunters, and all that. They don’t care about taking negotiations seriously because the whole things a curbstomp.

They’ve created so many eren jaeger extremists with their weekly bombings though, even if they did a full heel turn, had a change of heart and properly annexed them treating them as citizens these people that have been bombed forever would 100% continue fighting and still try to destroy them. They’re living in the world’s largest concentration camp prison state ghetto, you either fight back or you’re complacent in how you’re treated. There has to be some irony there though, an Israel owned concentration camp.
