Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Programs (SNAP or “food stamps”), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and housing assistance. I’m a taxpayer and it’s my money to! If you don’t like it give your stimulus checks and benefits to those who have none then we wouldn’t need it lol you capitalist!

It’s close enough. In a completely socialist society people are constantly on those programs. They don’t get an opportunity to grow. Here we get a chance to grow, but socialist programs are still there as a safety net.

IMO America is being held back by the career politicians
The averages don’t show that it’s a problem, but there a few outliers. Google said that on average senators and house members get about 2.5 terms in office. Though it may be consecutive only
There are a few who’s been realected for quite a bit more so if those outlier are taken out, the averages are even lower. But those outliers might be the ones you are calling out
Many times they groom their replacements to essentially just be a continuation of their policies and agendas for their own personal gain

I’m not a socialist but to categorize people using the programs is ridiculous! If capitalist used their money to help others then the government wouldn’t be bothering them to give to them away! But instead they use it to live lavish lives on expensive cars, dinners and travel etc!

I don’t think full blown socialism can work either. At least not in today’s age. Maybe when production and labor is automated, and people don’t compete for their livelehood, and it’s a one world order. Bit that’s only for books and movies for now
That’s because Capitalist need to start using their money to help people instead of themselves, they don’t even get taxed doing it like schools, charities etc hell they can even file that on their taxes and get the money back!
