Honest opinions, will they fix this game?

Starting to have my damn doubts. We all know the balancing issues etc, not gonna run over them again. We all know the lack of content (3 maps, identical, cosmetics is mostly recolors, etc)

Now…i see them “interacting” on twitter, but its mostly to redirect refunds and bugs, they arent talking about the actual game.

Will they fix this? Will they support this game and add new maps, tweak balance, add new cosmetics that arent just recolored models, will they support this game for another say…6 months?

Or does anyone in here fele like they pulled a quicke and decided to release it while we were all insane from quarantine boredom and needed something to play.

Be honest, personally…ive been gaming for 30+ years, this is probably the worst release i have experienced, and also the least communication i have seen form a dev/studio. I know there has been some shitty releases out there thats probably worse than this, but i never played them then i guess. My experience, this game…is gonna have problems if they dont start working.

What do you think, will we play this for months forward because they keep adding content and fixing bugs,blanace, or is this game already walking the plank?

( And i dont wanna hear the “this is a new game” excuse, it doesnt fly, if this was in Early Access it would be fine, but this a released game with a rather large pricetag, the game is finished. )

Illfonic its not a triple A SH, i agree with you that at the time the game is very poor… no customization of the match, dummy AI, no offline mode, bad balancing, few maps… more like a demo than a game… but we can see at friday the 13th… it start at same method and in the time the game grow… lawsuit broke the roadmap but if not we probably could have a good friday the 13 gane, with a lot of content… this game can be the same… but yes i that you dont want ear… the game is out by a week… its simply too soon to be sad… they said there is already a road map and seems they are fixing… i think they are waithing that the player learn the mechanics with stable builds… because as now the feedback are a mess… its better they dont touch nothing until all community see the game in the real way.

And we are also in the covid situation… i am level 45 and i will wait a bit… i have other games for now, i hope Like you

I know they arent AAA, but i didnt even know they did F13 before this, so that makes me even more pessimistic tbh. They dont seem like the right choice for a game using such a popular franchise like the Predator.

The game looks great, atleast on PC, they did a very good job with the models, enviroments etc, great stuff, but as for the ACTUAL gameplay, balancing and mechanics…extremly poor, they have missed osme of the most basic “rules” within a PVP game. And also…keybinds and a shoulder camera swap for the predator…this shouldnt even be a thing.

Personally, i dont think they can save this game now. I HOPE…but i doubt it, every stream i see doesnt recommend this game to their viewers, they all say wait for a few weeks. MassiveG beeing the largest i think who plays this, he is not impressed. Thats not good.

I agree but other SH followed the same type of story… take a look to dice with battlefront 2 or Ubisoft with for honor… im not confident they can reach that quality… illfonic is illfonic… but i think the game looks great, much more than the old friday the 13th… so i hope they learned from that game the mistakes… only the time will talk.

I would not call $40 “rather large.” I can see somebody arguing that this is more like a $30 game but I don’t think that’s a big distinction. I’m enjoying the game. I have faith they will add content. It literally just came out.

Their communication definitely isn’t great, though, I’ll agree with that.

Sure, question is, will this game stay ALIVE long enough for them to add content and iron out the quirks?

Communication is one of the main reasons games die, especially PVP games where balance is key. They arent communicating, we know nothing. Thats a problem.

It’s looking doubtful. The last patch was 2 days ago. If 1.06 doesn’t come soon they can forget about me and many other players giving a fuck about anything they do again. You only get one first impression. Don’t fuck it up. I guess they didn’t learn that.

Oh shit its 2 days ago already,well well! Not too long, but still, the 1.05 didnt really solve anything it seems.

The fact that they made F13 scares me, i didnt know that.

If it all goes to hell, i think they should pull the predator model and eviroment assets, and make a SP game. I’d gladly play that…if they let my rebind my keys. They wont…so i wont play it…

You can rebind keys. Go to control options. Scroll until you get to customize or whatever. And bam you can bind whatever you want.

Hmmm…maybe, depends on how long “soon” is, becasue frankly…time is not something this game has right now. In my opinion.

Lets not forget that IllFonic is a studio with only 78 people working for them (thats pretty fucking small) and every one of them is working from home with guaranteed shittier equiment then at their offices, so yea, updates are gonna take a while but after covid-19 i bet they’ll speed back up

I’m losing interest. FT just zergs. How are you supposed to do anything against that. If there was no timer it would be better. Would have time to plan.

No i cant. I dont use WASD, and i also wanna use weapons bound to keys, we cant do that.

I use ESDF, and i always bind weapons and gear to my mouse for quick swaps, in this game im forced to use a very clunky weaponwheel.

Oh and a shoulder cam toggle would me nice since they decided the Predator is locked in thirdperson…he can peek right…but not left, thats fucking amazing design.

I hope for a sp mode anyway… maybe after a year… now for now the pvp is very poorly balanced… and content is not so much… f13 is not best game ever but the content are all what a F13 fan expected… im sure they will add a lot of content… maps, predator taken by movies and more… but first… need balancing… and 15 min of queue time is death

This is my concern. That players will quit and never come back. So their efforts will be in vein. Such a shame that another game is almost dead. I am starting to lose faith in the gaming industry. Bring back passion and soul in games. Instead of just tring to make a quick buck.

I hope so, but for their own sake, they should atleast let the playerbase know tings are on its way. 5 Days is more than long enough for a game to die if nothing is communicated in terms of future plans for a game already lacking quite a few things. Important things.

Well, in my area the game is worth a penny. So even if it is closed, I will not be poorer BUT … I will be sad that a project with such potential died before it was born. I really want them to do something with the game. This is necessary now, when there is still the opportunity to return the audience. Otherwise it will be the second Friday 13th.

I’m sure they will fix things. The game was released just 5 days ago. They might be making a patch right now.
