I’d rather have them leave us with a great end game…then work on single player. have us hanging and not be able to play the game that was intended or just give us a taste…then make a big announcement that a larger company is now doing the single player…because I don’t want to be hanging on to this mutliplayer game which is the equivalent of cocaine. its good and all, but we need an ‘end all be all’. Which most games are anyway…this large franchise game…should NOT be a multiplayer game. Its not healthy.
Hot Take on "Story Mode"
Keep in mind that the more we add in both maps and modes the more players we get, the lower que times go. It’ll take time but so would an actaully decent story mode.
i think you just dont like stroy modes man… i mean Friday the 13th did it and it was fucking awesome when they did it so i mean its big done well befor no idea what your bitching about same thing with titan fall they added it in with the second game at it was great so i mean…
I can see them adding a story mode but in order for that to happen, the multiplayer needs to be stellar ( which it’s not ). Like, mad people gotta be streaming the game and MP needs to be at or near esports level in terms of player count.

true. if there were a single player…PHG would be the supplement and it would have to leave off or commit to a long term model.
I think there are different ways to do off-line play, a fully fleshed single player isn’t need. They can work towards things like events and better bots as they work on other stuff. Some interesting side hunts dropping a couple of times a year for 4 or more years and you have a decent single player experience.
Imagine a monthly (or however long) Queen xeno hunt with 3 preds taking on a hive with only one pred possibly making it out. Hype.
Survivors get status of clan leader and a fuckin spaceship!! And a legendary weapon/gear item/perk!!

I like story modes. Im fact I loved far cry 5’s story, and most people hate that. Horizen zero dawn was a great game and my favorite game is KH2.
And didn’t they promise a story mode on release for F13? And even if they didn’t, wasn’t it being worked on before release?
Plus i wouldn’t exactly call it amazing. Especially taking the diffrences of the games into account. It’d literally be slaughter an A.I or a group of A.I.
F13 had the fact that you had to get in close without invisibility and go for a grab to get challenges done, without notifying everyone else. While I do see pred being able to do something similar I don’t see it being as good considering the current mechanics.
they did not and no it wasnt… and yea your talking the ai mode but im talking the challenges mode

i mean i think it was a ground breaking game that i hold dearly as my fav game of all time and havent found one game better yet.

F13 will always hold a special place for me, I understand if you don’t feel the same.
Loved the challenges. If they could have continued, I would have been very happy.
To me it was a monumental let down and Friday the 13th is my favorite franchise of all time. It was the bugs. Content was one this but… It was bugs, what killed the beast.
thats why it was a let down you went into it expecting it to be great.
i went into it thinking it would be hot trash
but as i grew with the game and saw its highs and lows i can adore the lows and Climax on the high. as thats how a Climax works ;)
I was actually learning to make 3d models with the intent of one day making a Friday the 13th game, then this game came along and broke my heart. You’re absolutely right.
The guys who took over for illfonic, Black Tower have been steadily removing the worst of them.
No one should think this is a slight to illfonic, fixing bugs takes time. They had to make hard choice, I’m sure. Plus I got to meet all of you.
We’ll see what happens when this server debacle is resolved. I still haven’t deleted it after all this time.

It’s a fucking great idea. But making one from the ground up isn’t realistic at this point. If multiplayer catches absolute fire, I can see them adding it. The game is lukewarm at best right now and that’s coming from a place of love.

witch is why i said depens. you wouldnt want another challenges mode so for you its a bad idea for me i would love that so for me its a great idea.
