Predators should know better than to get into a knife fight with a Fireteam member anyway unless they’re totally confident they are skilled in melee, have skills, have technique. Melee should do damage, if I slice the Preds neck four times with my Gutter then his throat is now a canyon…but you think he should just brush that gaping wound off? Not a chance
I have never killed a Predator with a knife ! (lvl100). Let’s call it busy.

I’m only trying to add logic to the parry. This is the only way I can see how. By instead of full on pushing back, you instead throw it to the side. That’s also why I mentioned the preds jumping ability. I think if a human tried to parry a pred the force would crush their arm lol.

I didn’t miss that part. I want to take damage if the Predator slices me, it adds to the thrill and excitement of the battle. When that big bastard starts swinging, I know “This is it! I’m probably gonna die, but not without a last stand!” and then it’s a real fight and whoever can fight better wins. If I die in 2-3 slices, but I’ve caused serious damage to the Predator enough for him to need to heal before he moves onto my team mates then it wasn’t in vain.

They can’t parry if they don’t see you coming, they also can’t parry a combi stick throw to the face!!

If I make a huge hole in your back using my Combistick… you think you should just turn around with a knife in your hand and start fighting? Even after getting some hits of Elder’s blade or Combistick these “humans” can run as fast as before, can jump, can use their weapons and attack a Predator. And have to issues with their stamina. Lol.
I’ve never killed a Predator with a knife either, but I’ve done enough that he backed off from his attack and I was able to dump my auto-shotgun into his chest and force him to retreat completely.
I’m not expecting to ever kill the Predator with my Gutter (btw for people who don’t know, there are several different melee weapons available and not just the combat knife), but I expect to do some damage IF I am able to parry and counter. And I say IF because it isn’t guaranteed to work all the time, pressing parry doesn’t guarantee you block the blow. It’s about timing.
me too. I use it a lot. But humans parring the predator and hitting with bigger damage is f…g ridiculous.
The problem is you need to hit them 4-6 times before they die. And after 1 or 2 hit they can easily see you and start to parry. And they can parry you forever.

Huge steel plates of body armour…we have those didn’t you know, and they slot into the back of our tactical vests…so when you stab me in the back with the meme-stick, it doesn’t kill me immediately because factors like that have been taken into consideration. However, stab me two or three times and you’re punching through my body armour and yeah, I’m dead.
Fireteam do have perks as well, that will reduce Predator damage, increase damage done to Predator and increase melee damage.
Alot of the complaints from Predator players are mostly from those who haven’t put in the time as Fireteam and don’t understand how WE work, and it shows.
he was using the Alien’s smart disc dude! a weapon extremely light but strong made of alien badass metal 100000 harder than the strongest metal we have here, NOT A TINY KITCHEN KNIFE! hahahaah

The problem is that it’s up to the FT only. FT can parry, can stun a Predator with knife. A Predator can’t. If a FT member has good ping and reflexes - a Predator becomes as dangerous as a baby. It’s not a “skill-based fight” like in For Honor, for example. It’s just a “skill test” for FT. And a Predator can only retreat or use Netgun, but we have only 2 slots for weapon. So… We’re forced to take Netgun all the time?

Depends on what class of Fireteam they are, what Perks they’re running… we can increase our melee damage, we can reduce the damage you do with a Perk, we can increase our overall health with a Perk… Not all Fireteam members are cookie cut, there’s a whole variety of strats and loadouts going on. Which is why Predator players need to play a strategic game, and not just expect to rush in and wipe us out “because reasons”.
