Hypothetical Patch Notes

lol never, idk about @Eshtion. Game is simple af and 100% dependent on mechanical pew pew shooty. part of the reason potatoes can make things impossible is that all there is to do in this game is aim.

This game requires 0 game knowledge aside from the pred jumping to enemy spawn or maybe beartrapping radio, its point and shoot.
Nothing strategic to it at all, part of the reason its so stale.

And then you watch randoms play and you start to wonder 😂

The randoms are shit because its solely dependent on pointing and clicking a target.

if you cant point and click you deal 0 damage. Its why the damage is so high.

Look at Evil Dead, potatoes can just play melee if they cant aim. Does wonders for balancing because there isnt this crippled portion of the playerbase skewing everything and outright losing games.

Not even that, just the decision making and not knowing what everyone on the forums considers common knowledge.

I do agree with ED point.

Do you tho?

Good luck, but most of these suggestions have already been made long ago. Most of us sincerely cared about the game and toxicity was rare. Unfortunately, most of the OGs moved on leaving the forums for people that are mostly just here for the laughs. ✌️

??

Oh come on

Just because the point is right doesn’t mean the argument is

Point: PHG is a bad game

Good argument: it lacks content

Bad argument: because the classes don’t have defined characters and allow you to swap race and gender.

Point: PHG is simple

Good argument: no mechanical depth that has only aim as a skill

Bad argument: button prompts exists because they help you press buttons somehow?

I was calling out the argument not the point.

Button prompts are pure casualization

Instead of learning to read the animation you’re met with a flashing HUD indicator to hold your hand

Balance and general thematics would be better with defined classes but its too late for people to lose their scout with RPG now.
Specializations were an attempt at backtracking to make classes more like actual classes after they realized giving everyone every gun and gear was silly even from just a readability standpoint.

Are you trying to say a button prompt makes a game simple?

Wow I pressed X on the OBJ without a button prompt. Such skill amirite?

Relevance?

Relevance?

The classes in this game are not classes, just number swaps.

lmao imagine playing a fighting game and a flashing prompt appears on the screen telling you when to block so you don’t have to read the animation

Nice straw man

I was talking about customization. In particular the king of preds argument about classes being able to gender swap which he for some reason doesn’t agree with

Holding square on an OBJ is not the same as timing a block

Plus that’s irrevalent. Any animation you can block is easily seen meaning you wouldn’t need it in the first place so actually yes. This only effects things you need to time, not react, and even than PHG only has parries which are easily spammed making the prompt pointless.

This also ignores any other mechanical depth. Simplicity is the lack of depth, not some Simplicity end all be all.

If FromSoft adds AOE indicators and parry prompts to elden ring is it skilled?

Instead of defusing the pred bomb illfonic should make it so you can just hold square.

problem?

Holy shit the update is out!!

What the fuck is this argument.

That’s nit a button prompt issue

That’s a lack of any mechanical depth issue

And the diffuse has button prompts built into it in order to let you know how to control it.

Your own point defeats you.
