I have the best idea for a predator game that will never be made

Basically,

Just make a predator game similar to Monster Hunter, but the Hunters are predators and the monsters are aliens from multiple planets.

Goals:

  • Hunt alone or in groups, up to three.
  • Collect trophy skulls. Trophies will be distinguished between hunted alone or in a group.

Gameplay: predators will have well defined strengths and weaknesses depending on their body type and skill set. Prey will very in difficulty by speed, damage out put, health, herd behavior, intelligence, venom, etc. (developing a good AI to meet these requirements would be the biggest development challenge) Game will vary by planet and locale terrain and climate. Traveling will be similar to Borderlands 3. Leveling will be similar to Monster Hunter. The more trophies you collect, the better armor and weapons youā€™ll have access to, and higher quality trophies will give more rewards. Movement styled similarly to Ghosts of Tsushima but modified to account for leaping into and across trees would work well.

Scout

  • skill sets: Marksman, Assassin, and Disabler

Hunter

  • skill sets: Trapper, Tracker(hell hounds), and Technician

Berserker

  • skill sets: Brute, Tank, and Heavy Weapons

This is very bare bones, but thatā€™s the outline. Obviously, story elements surrounding honor and bravery would need to be added. Redemption is always a good motive for the main character. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø Sounds fun to me.

I love the ideas for the customization, but I would also like the weapons to be Dead space 3 level of customizable. Plus, Iā€™d like for Concrete Jungle to be a good example for what a predator game should look like.

U claim I only ever used weak arguments yet all u say is ā€œpredator bad, alien good. Goku can kill predator he sucks. Samus has a plasma gun but itā€™s on her arm sheā€™s way cooler.ā€ Shut the hell up bro. Iā€™ve improved on the original post, explained how the game could work and wut could go into it, how it doesnā€™t matter the predator isnā€™t the strongest character in existence, and u canā€™t come up with any original ideas that could work as well and be as fun.

And Warframe is ur substitute for this? Potato ass bots, traversal isnā€™t anywhere near the same as a predator, u can have a whacky stick or a gun and not any fun gadgets, and u never actually do any space travel itā€™s just the loading screen to some place. And if character is wut makes something great, then a teno is not a good example. The only thing unique about them is their stats

I agree with most of your post but this:

Warframe maneuverability is way beyond what preds are capable. Whacky stick or a gun is severely undermining those weapons. Thatā€™s just for convenience sake as nobody wants to have to travel between several planets every time they want to do a mission but if you want to get technical Railjack is space flight/combat which pred doesnā€™t have in most if not all games.

But there is though? You can run on walls, roll, dodge, and bullet jump whereas pred has to have a designated tree branch or leap in a slow predictable arc.

You say preds canā€™t do anything against xeno yet the preds we see in movies are mainly young bloods or blooded hunters. Broken tusk killed xenos with his barehands, Ahab killed an engineer, serpent hunter predator learned the xenos movement and everything, the hive wars predator was on the xenos homeworld an survived. Most elite predator can easily kill as xeno without tech humans cannot.
If someone were to make an open world pred game it would have to be like monster hunter where theyā€™re hunting different aliens not just xenos. We have names of bunch of different things they hunt as well as seen skulls so someone would just need to take those and rebuild them or design something from the ones that are named.

Yeah but the jumping is fun, especially if it would work like avp 2010. And they canā€™t jump on top of everything so adding in some mechanics like assassinā€™s Creed would be fun to use as well
