This happens everywhere, historically people can and will punch down. The people you see in prisons and shit schools aren’t the one’s that can afford to go elsewhere. People that are intentionally pigeonholed and lack information can 100% be manipulated and you do get the racist counselor with the “Hey kid you’re black go join the nfl or become a rapper. Got nothing else here for you” which yes is systematic racism. You also get the low income white kid that leaves the office thinking he’s trailer trash, systematic classism? Both are stereotypes.
Topic of “ethnic names” goes back into implicit bias territory though. You see jestophersone and tom and you’re going to gravitate to Tom. If a mexican diner hires the mexican instead of the black, tradition or not, is it systematic racism? What about ethnic tattoos and piercings? Ebonics or not liking someones hill country accent?
Systemic racism exists but you have to discern how much of that is a class war more than a racial one. Is a law increasing time served for posession of crack over cocaine systematic racism? Because you’re only going to see low income blacks in jail for crack posession, rich white suits get caught with cocaine. Increasing the catch-all net for minority groups is oppression is it not?
