I need tips on playing as predator.

I just bought this game yesterday and I’m having a blast. But I need some tips on playing as predator better.

So what tips should I use while I take the hunters out one by one?

Oof…new to the game… well honestly id say play FT until you unlock all the predator equipment…and thats all i say because this game is trial and error all the time so your going to die amd get melted and well with this new update predator gets killed instantly now so its worse then it was before… as someone who played this game since day one…i hate to tell you but you wasted money…it’s fun and cool but balance is a h7g issue right now… i suggest playing clash so you can get the feel of predator and do the tutorial. Other then that good luck

I don’t really care about the balance. I just want tips?

I don’t think your getting it… any tip anyone gives will not work since you will die instantly… and it’s a predator game…you wait in trees, set off camp alarms, and wait for them to show up. Use bear traps, use plasma caster , plasma pistol, make sure not to claim the kill right away since they could second wind you as you are claiming
also since if you melee the FT and they parry you… it will ceash your game… so… yea… honestly just look around the fourm you’ll see what kind of game you walked in on.

I don’t know what’s the deal. I seen mixed.

Your new bro you just dont get it… let some of the veteran players help me explain. @Fire @Arrow_calis @Thunder-Cats @Cadillackid

Dude I did not post this thread just for you to say I wasted my money. Sorry if I sound like I’m blamin you. IM just so confused

Well you should havee searched up the game before getting it… Because it’s not in a good spot right now… and there are many many fourm post saying so and details of number values and damge output… this game is just not in a good spot is all I’m saying… and if you just got 4 wins as predator why do you need tips you seem like your doing fin if you just won 4 games back to back.

I did looked it up. But if you don’t mind me asking is there a fix coming to fix this?

Thats the thing we don’t get told anything or get updates Dlc and content just get dropped with little to no hype behind it… the numbers are going down many predator players are leaving because of the buffs to FT… hell I’ve seen many good players leave because how this boat is being sailed…I’m sorry if i came off rude or angry it’s just this game has drained me… like it’s soul crushing… i love predator and this just dosent feel right dosent feel like I’m playing predator… his damage is very underwhelming and the Fireteams damage is so massive everyone is rambo right now…all i can say is good luck playing this game.

So it’s dying like Friday the 13tth? If so then I would be mad.

Yea bro it’s going in that direction and i hate to tell you but if you want to enjoy this fully play private matches with buddies or people on this fourm.

Well, the best tip I can give you is to watch YouTube gameplays made by better/good players.

You’re bound to learn something from it.
Also, don’t just go straight into the match right away, play some private matches against AI’s or friends to get the feeling of the Predator play and his weapons.

Once you pick your favorite weapons, hone your skills, learn how to use them well.

Also, as you know, there are different Predator classes, so every class plays differently if you want to be effective with it.

Most important tips.

Don’t rush at FT with your melee weapon, use your ranged weapons first in order to deplete their medkits and ammo.

After that, try to separate them, when one of them is away from the group, you can melee rush him or just focus that one with your ranged weapon.
Once when he’s down, you can quick claim him or use him as trap for the other FT’s.

There are many more tips I could write, but like I said, check some YouTube vids, you’re bound to learn something from those.

Happy hunting.

Avoid attacking from the front, both melee and range.

Don’t be afraid to jump away if there are more than you can handle.

Keep any eye on your second wind recharge. Try to avoid all but the most sure melee while it recharges.

If you’re attacking at range, stay still, because you are completely invisible. If you start taking damage, don’t stop moving. Fire a shot off and change positions.

Don’t go inside a building with human sized doors. Those are traps, unless there is only one person standing.

Play FireTeam. Not only will you have a better understanding of what your prey can do, you’ll also understand their weaknesses. This will also get your first hand knowledge of what to do and not do based on the pred that’s hunting you, you will also get familiar with the missions, and can use that for traps when you figure out which mission your FT is doing.

Don’t forget that the map has things you can destroy on it. Take out their medkits and ammo crates. Shoot an exploding barrel when the FT gets near it. The AI is deadly and distracting to the FT, giving you a perfect time to strike.

Figure out a loadout that matches your playstyle. Give things a test, don’t be afraid to lose some rounds while you work out the kinks.

Just play the game. Play pred and FT. Have fun, learn and adapt your approach and develop your preferences. There’s tons of videos out there to show you what builds are viable. I prefer melee/tanky other’s are about ranged harrasment and sniping. There’s lots of options. Right now the FT are at the advantage because they can dish out a ton of damage and melt you if you get in a bad spot. You must me patient. You must gain experience and learn when it’s a good time to hop in and go ham, or stay back and pick them off. Either way it’s fun. Just have a good time.

Medic and large pouch are very good perks.

Don’t bum rush FT with melee. An entire squad can wipe you.

Typically I would give tips to help, but honestly I dont see how any new players could get to a point where you can be at a decent/ good level.

But here’s some general tips.
Set off alarms at the main camps.

Use target isolation right at the start, or wait until 14:13.
Master the plasma caster.
Change it up, try to use your entire arsenal in a match.

Plasma blast can do splash damage through walls if fully charged.

The ft can do their mission in no more than 5 minutes, so you have to keep the pressure.

Do not melee.
Not worth it atm.

Atm there are a million bugs that make this game unplayable, mainly the fact that you will crash q lot as pred.

I’d play something else tbh.
