Illfonic... does it again (twitter)

These guys are so bogus. Lots of us are tryna give them hope but… again, they retweet another platform hoping to grab clout and expand their fanbase.

Complete garbage. Can’t even give 3 sentences of what they’re up to so we, already FANS, can know what’s going on.

They only tweeted “we hear your feedback” the first week of release because the whole community (majority) was upset with the unbalanced garbage. And after them “fixing” that 1.06 patch, they went Awol.

They only tweeted that because most if the community was on the verge of leaving. Now, they don’t give AF. Money grabbers? I think so. And the first weeknI was one of those who told the community to chill out and be patient. But these guys now? Real colors comin out

byebye.

ya if they made any kind of post acknowledging specifically the issues people raise that would go a long way instead of we hear your feedback. if they said we are working on crossplay or we cant do crossplay at this time, that is indicative of people being heard.

Dude you really need to stop it’s so cringe how you literally defend them all day wtf creepy

no true fireteam players would of stood their and let the pred spear them like that. they would of shot the pred made him run off and then went for the REVIVE! the ignorance from illfonic seems to be quite ignorant and promoting these sponsored streamers to promote the game but ignoring the community on questions asked or laying low

not surprised anymore with this company. they will ruin this game just like they did Friday the 13th. if they actually “read” and “heard” our feedback this game wouldn’t be in the state it is in. I too gave them credit before launch. even for a week after launch. after the second week with not addressing the community and not even acknowledging the missing cross platform party invites they promised would be available at launch or giving a simple “we are working on a fix” or something like that. I knew this company is just grabbing cash and didn’t care.

This game has profound issues, which I’m sure they’re aware of. They didn’t say, “Hey guys, a patch is coming.” every time before a patch dropped. It’s being worked on. The community manager has several jobs, a lot of them revolve around social media posts, etc. Honestly with all the toxicity that’s been going on they probably think it’s best to just not address anything. Because if one thing is touched on, it’s not gonna be enough for everyone. Then demands and expectency will be higher. They’re still sponging content as they always have been. As of yesterday the game has been out for two weeks.

I’m not defending them at all, just speaking on behalf of what I think is standard. They’re working on a patch. What else needs to be said? 3 patches dropped in less than two weeks, another will happen as soon as it’s ready.

They’re posting things on social media as they’ve clearly paid streamers and outlets to stream the game. So as a result they have to make posts regarding those blocks as it’s something they’ve already paid for.

It’s they’re only current project. How can they be money grabbers ditching their ONLY current project? They HAVE to support it to keep their doors open.

I wholeheartedly agree they could be better. But this practice is certainly not uncommon.

I agree with everything you said

And their so called community manager cant make simple posts about what they are currently working on? cant be bothered to address the community with a gaping hole (the missing cross platform party invites that was promised to be at launch!). they ignore every single person that brings it up. its standard to not keep your communities updated? wrong. that is a poor business model that will never work.

I am grateful this is their only “current project”. this was a complete disaster and they have proven they learn nothing from previous flops.

I mean, it’s clear they’re working on another patch. What else needs to be said? They won’t make promises on what that patch contains until they can guarantee it is there. Well, and they shouldn’t. Saying something is going to be present that doesn’t make it, or giving a projected time frame for a patch that they miss is only going to make things worse.

So, we’ll know when it drops with patch notes. Eh, I disagree, plenty of projects started as “flops” that folks whined about because there was no contact or response, but patches kept coming. Eventually communications improved and the title flourished. That’s happened so many times, especially in the realm of multiplayer or F2P titles.

I was in such denial… i didnt want to believe it. But yes, they can’t even give a simple “sorry. We are working on it. Be patient. It shouldve been released with cross platforms like we claimed”

Smh. Ruined a great potential franchise.

Now, they don’t give AF. Money grabbers? do you really think illfonic gets all the money for the game thy developed. Then your brain death its published by SONY corporation thy have backed up and gave illfonic the money to start developing this game so Sony wants there invested money back and if there is something left that part goes to the real developers if thy do not intent to make there player base happy for a long time thy will not make any money what so ever or sel more copies

So that’s where they are the twitters…do you think they actually play the game?

yep. I completely agree. And all the people that defend them are part of the problem. They know its ok to lie and ignore your player base because they will believe whatever you tell them. if this had been a major AAA title that pulled this stunt, there would have been outrage. I firmly believe all the defenders of this company were given their copies in return for their defense posts.

I mean, if they would just acknowledge the problem I would be ok. I would know that they have heard my complaint. A post “We hear your feedback”, well that just seem genuine to me. More like, “ha! I got your money now. deal with it.”

they spend more time posting on twitter about all the streamers playing their game. that time could be better spend keeping an constantly updated bugs list etc. for the community. Oh wait. that’s not standard.

I am sure they are working on bug fixes and getting crossplay working again that and also the promised free content update that is due this month.

Their communication with the community has been pretty abysmal however. A simple “yes we are aware and are working on it” would suffice.

ya that would be a good start. it really is all it takes. its like these companies cant admit anything ever. I understand with a public company, for example, such statements might concern shareholders and you have to watch what you put out there but still. Ignoring people bringing up issues and responding to those that dont is incredibly frustrating when you see it on their social media.

Part of the problem? Right. No they don’t dude, they are too small of a studio to want to set themselves up for failure, lmao. Majority of you clearly have no idea how game development works, and that’s fine.

If this had been a AAA title it wouldn’t have been done with Illfonic. Simple as that. AAA devs and pubs can’t allow anything to go wrong with the amount of money involved.

Because those streamers are prepaid advertisements. They have to promote them as they were preplanned and paid for. If they don’t, it’s money lost.

I wish I could say why they don’t address more. Hell, even a single Tweet would be enough for some folks, clearly. But, I’m sure whoever is the CM was told not to do so. These people (Illfonic) have put up with a crap ton of toxicity for awhile now, so who knows.
