If you seek retribution for what happened you are fit to do as you please and bring the old event up to the Mods and have me removed now that they are properly running this establishment and doing what should’ve been done from the start: then go right ahead. I accept the right for you to do so. I know my place, I have no intention of fighting the Mods and in fact wish to get as much good graces with them as possible so as to better improve chances for customer relations to improve and feedback to be seen.
This place is finally being handled properly. Anyone who fights such a structure and continues to derail, stir the pot or make idle threats is asking to be removed. Every action the Mod/s thus far have taken has been 100% justified and if they wish to remove everyone present who has done anything ever wrong and truly start a clean plate, then they are justified and I for one respect how brutally swift such action would be: even if it caught me too.

In general you should probably apply a scorched earth tactic to anything like this on the Internet, especially for something like this.
Though I will admit I highly doubt he did make an Alt account, especially with a move as dumb as that. Not in his style, he got banned from the Hunting Grounds Discord for harassing others and calling the Mods there Pedos simply for it being Discord but he was very adamant that he would not return nor did he have any interest to. He is many things, he is not a liar nor is he an idiot. I do believe he was framed but the Mods would have ZERO knowledge of who he, or anybody else, here really are and so did the only logical thing. Scorched Earth.
Perhaps, i disagree, but its not absolute. I was wondering if an alternate solution could be to halt creation of new accounts for 12 hrs. People will cool down in that time. Though if a member already has a few accounts, this solution will not work.
We have ways of knowing whether an account made is an alternate for an existing account. This includes when you use VPNs.

Honestly glad to see both a new face in overall moderation and backbone in enforcing the rules as they are stated. Love the community, but one would be a fool to not see how toxic or unhelpful a number of people can be on this forum, when admittedly, this is the “prime” place where Illfonic takes in feedback. Is that flawed? Yes. But this I feel is a definite step forward.

I’ve never moderated a website, I wouldn’t know simply. I’m not surprised to hear he was banned, he hates authority and is very outspoken. But I am surprised to hear there’s shenanigans with an imposter running around. I can’t think of anyone specific that would do that, especially considering he seems to have made Good with the Melons and is no longer having beef with them. I do believe the story though that it wasn’t him simply because that’s not his style. Doesn’t fit the persona. Although if the Mods want to come and say they had his IP and knew he had a VPN then I guess the initial assessment was wrong and he’s more shrewd then believed.
It could have been a ploy against the Mods, to cause them to err, and not against him.
Perhaps. Could be any number of things. I, and several others, don’t associate with him anymore so it is none of my business. I don’t believe it to be in his style, doesn’t fit the MO but if the Mods say “we had the IP & tracked a VPN” then I’d believe because I know Discord has very similar tech for doing so and so wouldn’t be surprised to see an official website also have such tools. It’d be surprising, but not much to do otherwise. Let the mods do their jobs and keep our heads down.
I have him on discord so there’s a way to find out. Also, I’m taking bets. The odds are 80:20 that it was him because of the tech.
When i had a few exchanges with the new account, it didn’t feel like him. Less assertive for what I’m used to.

Yeah he’s a very outspoken & upfront person. Brash, not one for trickery. Probably doesn’t have the patience for it. So like I said, I doubt it too but if they say they have an IP & VPN locked down, I’d have no reason to refute that claim because its plausible as I’ve said.
I’m good, not interested in such drama or threads. Whatever happens, happens. Just here to see how the new rules are worked in and how well the transition is made. Can’t say I ain’t happy to see Mods finally about, been a long time coming and I sincerely believe this to be for the better in the long run. Place has been too chaotic for a while, this’ll be good for improving community & dev relations.
