Dude, I asked him to delete it. I explained there was no context in his post. I had to go to work and tagged a mod because anti semitism doesn’t belong on here. I expected Venn would explain and it would be modified or deleted. I never asked for anyone to be banned or for you to lose your shit over it.

I’ll try. A joke was made about a popular conspiracy theory about a religion secretly ruling the world, and that religion was persecuted shortly before and during the second global conflict. Certain forum members got triggered and claimed that it was offensive, and the mods asked for everyone to stop. 2 of the forum members continued arguing about whether the poster of the comment could/should be able to make that joke, and the thread was shut down. Another thread about how the joke was justified was made after mods shut down the thread, and the mods banned the op for making that thread. Here are the links to decide for yourself:

People of the world. If you only listen to one thing that James Cameron says then let it be this.
If you are offended by something guess what? Nothing happens. Your house won’t fall down. You’ll be fine. Anything worth saying or any humour for that matter will offend at least one person in a crowd. We can’t stop saying things because of offence. If someone personally attacks a person or group with intent in a non humorous way then that’s bad. But cancelling and de platforming is not the answer.
This thread got out of control because one person wrongly interpreted the intent of another. Even when their intent was clarified they still argued as though they know this persons thoughts better than the one who actually thought them. That is an impossible argument to win and we are all better just moving on because in many cases including this one, you have someone who will not be convinced no matter what as they have already chose a hill to die on.
Ridiculous and contradictory statements about history and context have been made. James Cameron can’t see anything wrong with @VENN7eance post. Is it in poor taste? Taste is an individual thing. Was it intended as anti sematism? No. It was then twisted into something it was not. This is a tactic used by the woke brigade along with throwing around terms like racist and bigot the second you disagree with them. The hope is that you don’t want anyone to think you are a bigot so you’ll quietly retreat or even worse start agreeing with their false narrative so that they won’t come for you.
Remember the reasonable, fact accepting people are actually the majority. Unfortunately this majority is silent while the minority is loud. Thankfully in this thread it was realised that the majority doesn’t need to be silent. That’s the beauty of being the majority.
But the mods are correct. This is a forum about James Cameron and Predator. Lets not go down this rabbit hole again especially when it becomes clear that the person you are talking to is beyond reason. Lets all have a virtual group hug and then go back to ripping out virtual spines.
