Inaccurate City Hunter

The wide bottom of Illfonic’s City Hunter mask strikes closer to the Boar Predator than the actual City Hunter from Predator 2. It’s a big, big disappointment for me.

I totally agree with Noktrum and others on this forum about illfonics take on the City Hunter model.

I can’t understand that if your job is to recreate a iconic movie character with so many photo’s and movie material to use as reference, still manage to have these flaws and charging money for it.

It’s body being more buff.
Color of his armor being off.
His mask inacurracy specially seen from the front.
His chestarmor needs to slim and more up to his chest.
His netting on his left arm needs to be removed.
His netgun on his left leg being twice as big.
And im missing his brownish colored patches on his outer abdominal sides.

Probably more things, but these stand out for me.
Hopefully illfonics is reading and already in the process of changing these things.

His color I think is fine when it gets into the actual game lighting. It’s the color of the armor on his lower torso that’s the wrong color. Could his in-game armor stand to be a bit darker and copper, yeah. But I don’t think it’s an issue of the color so much as it is the in-game lighting. The game seems to just be better lit than Predator 2 because in the film they all come off darker than they actually are. Had Hunting Grounds shipped with darker maps he’d probably look alright.

This might be kind of like the thermal vision where if the gamma gets turned down it starts to look better.

The head / mask is too big for the body, the mask is also shaped differently and therefore looks nothing like the city hunters.

Its just all round off and needs some tweaks here and there.

From the looks of it switching from maskless to mask on in the customization menu, you can tell that there is way too much room in the jaws of his helmet!

I’m not terribly impressed by the face texturing either…you can tell they spent more time on airbrushing on the body than they did for the face.IMHO.
