I’ll take Cleo just breaking the game in half for a month, like literally being able to just snap all of FT’s backs on her knee without effort and making even premades cry, just for a month. Then they can nerf her like every other DLC, except Dante for some reason. I just feel like ya build her up this way, make her stupidly powerful on launch. The Ultra Instinct Goku of the roster, the Strive Sol Badguy.
Insanely High Damage Izzy Build
Don’t forget the screenshots
I would personally enjoy that. Valkyrie was like that until the nerf, she was so much fun. Now I can’t even run her. If they keep to the lore and make Cleo OP, and KEEP her OP like Dante, I would be overjoyed. FT taters, not so much, lol. But that’s okay.
I’ve went beyond Screenshots. I’m compiling a bunch of clips together to make a youtube video of several matches. Been playing basically non-stop today to do so. When I have enough content and feel happy with each one, I’ll edit them all together into one vid and upload it and link it right here.
I would like to see this, yes please and thanks.
Potatos are always better after sufficient heat is applied
Hence why the game gets interesting after reinforcements
Sadly a good portion will quit out the gate before reinforce even happens. Whoops died in under 2 minutes, time to quit out they say.
Some potatoes have sprouts and are squishy
They cannot be saved
Hit and Run Valkyrie with Fervent, Fearless, Downrange and Impenetrable, my favourite build, I can play ranged or melee, switch it up or hit and run disc which is insanely fun.
Only because our latest influx of new preds haven’t figured out reinforcements are preferable to the menu screen and quick matches = less exp
Oh I meant Fireteam players. Kill 'em too fast and most just leave even when you visibly allow reinforce.
I was talking about the same. Because they’re seeing more of the newer preds play “how fast can I wipe the team” with no regard for match speed. So in their mind, they die, not coming back, why stick around?
If preds really cared about FT they wouldn’t let them reinforce
Encourages bad behavior
If I’m allowing a Fireteam to reinforce it’s entirely because I know, and have been, dominating them in the match and I just wanna prolong the fight to have some more fun with 'em and try and farm for more Stealth Kills or Long Claims. Now if I encounter a Premade or names that I am aware of, like say people from the Forums, I ain’t gonna offer such courtesy and won’t play with the FT. Gotta play for keeps in that scenario. Like I accidently killed MassImpact in under 2 minutes yesterday because I ran into him in Quick Play and assumed he was in a Premade, so I went ham with my Analytic Scout and ended up ending the match in like 1 minute 40 something. Turns out he was on his own and with a bunch of randoms… so I guess I kinda went overboard and ruined a potentially fun back & forth. But even still, goes to show you shouldn’t try and play with your food if you recognise a name.
Still feel kinda bad for doing the match like that though. Hopefully I get him again when he’s with others/more prepared and we can have a more fair fight.
Sink or swim I always say
It makes the mistakes they made very apparent
With that knowledge they will either learn and grow, making the experience more enjoyable for all or they will walk away
Either is acceptable IMO
If I’m able to farm a FT for stealth kills & long claims, I’ve done matches where I’ve gotten a full 5 SKs and 7 LCs, I am basically just humiliating them and playing in a very sink or swim method like you suggest. I ain’t letting them get Reinforce because I feel sorry for them, I’m letting them get the Reinforce so I kill 'em again and make it apparent how superior I am to them. Literally punishing their mistakes twice over, and getting a good longer match out of it at the same time. Never employ that against an actually good team though, always go for the kill immediately, and don’t let them within 5 feet of that reinforce if it can be helped.
This is exactly my Pred playstyle. If I see they’re good and I’m getting melted, I’ll use the full extent of my build to down and kill them all quickly, no claims, no reinforce, just as fast a win as possible.
If I see they’re a mix, or just straight up potatoes, I will usually wipe three out immediately and torture the last guy until he reinforces. Then I’ll repeat. Example: Last night I was in a game as a Viking, knocked out three right away, one quit. Followed the last guy to reinforcements, laid traps, immediately wasted the two, who then quit, and left one alive. For probably ten minutes I tortured him, taunting him in game and on the mic. I shot plasma all around him, ran around him uncloaked, dodged his shots and knife attempts…it was hilarious. He finally ran out of ammo and quit.
Also, there is a huge influx of experienced Preds not letting FTs reinforce. I can’t tell you how many I’ve come across that lay waste within minutes. Even if someone makes it to the respawn radio, they’ll take them out. It’s bad showmanship, imo, especially if we suck so much.
Well, maybe the frames calculation is off, because I tried this at few different distances and never got more than roughly 1.75 seconds to down a hunter.
Base damage is 12 and the Firerate is 50/second, so:
1250/12=104 hits to kill
104/50=2.08 sec
Assault Bane = 1.2 x damage
2.08/1.2=1.73 sec, but that’s before low health damage mitigation it taken into account
Maybe something glitched for you on that test. 🤷♂️
math is simple, if there’s 60 frames in a second, each frame time is calculated by dividing 1000/60. There’s nothing wrong in that.
I went and use adobe Premiere to calculate exactly in what frame I started shooting and at what frame I got the flash of second wind. What software are you using for editing video?
I’ll re-test again, though I doubt I will find any discrepancy
