Well I dont get parried often, because I work around that strategy. If you have your knife equiped you cant shoot, so youâre wide open to my other tools. If you have a gun out then I will constantly break line of sight and change my angle of approach. All about being unpredictable.
FT is very powerful, but not unbeatable if you use your head a little.
I feel we are debating nothing because I also agree they arenât unbeatable. Far from it the predator has plenty of tools. My only point is saying parry is only a problem if you are bad is false. Every predator will have to deal with parrying. But Iâm not saying whatsoever that ft is too strong
Ofcourse every pred has to deal with parry, its a core mechanic that allows ft to defend against melee rushers. Its a preds job to outsmart them, wich is fun imo.

Bullshit. Iâve melted Preds that do this without a single player using parry. You donât need it, nor should you have it. Concentrated gunfire is more than enough to push back a rushing Predator. You have 4 soldiers with hitscan weapons, each with a TTK at around 6-7 seconds by themselves. Multiply that by 4. How long is the Predator melee TTK? Not fast enough to get kills with all 4 firing at him thatâs for sure. Iâm so sick of people defending Parry itâs the dumbest most bullshit mechanic in the game. Keep it in fine. But you get 1 parry, then youâre done.
This ends up being an issue between low end play and experienced players. You remove parry and everyone starts bitching about zerkers swinging around combisticks again since zerk seems to be the braindead pubstomper & that single randomly thrown out parry saves the pub from being steamrolled.
Meanwhile on the other extreme a single ft member at a competitive level lands a single parry at 1/5th of his hp, switches weapons, and instantly melts you while kiting and popping health syringes, then you have to multiply this x4 & it gets ridiculous. But I feel like this is an issue with pred lacking a lot of openers aside from slam in sweaty matches like that.
Itâll come down to whether or not devs balance around pubs or plan to implement a ranked mode.

you cant have a 4 v 1 ranked mode it f doesnât work. Hows it going to play out honestly. Your gonna cap out on predator then start playing FT cause FT will win most games. Is it going to be ranked premades or ranked solo q. It literally not in favor of the predator at all considering he has the 1st gen weaponry of his race. even his disc travels a mere 35 mph. In movies it was over 200 mph. Ranked is def not going to work unless it 6 FT vs 2 preds. Just like LFD2 this game wont last more than 2 yrs enjoy it while you can.
In 2010âs Predators, the Yakuza dude has a sword fight with a Predator. So, itâs kinda canon.
Oh look, another player measuring balance on bad players. Try that on an actual decent player that only uses melee, but smart. See how much fun that is without parry.
I think youâre confused. Bad players need parry. Good players donât. And nerfing parry isnât going to allow bad players to rush. Good players can still melt a rushing PredâŚif you ask me, it kinda sounds like youâre the one balancing for bad players.
Show me one that can use only melee against any decent fireteam.

Sigh, people always revert to name calling when they canât handle someone disagreeing. You donât have to be bad at the game to dislike a mechanic. A lot of players can play around parry. We just donât like it and think it should be tweaked.

Just because you dont like it, does not mean it has to be changed. Adapt.

And just becasue you do, doesnât mean people canât have an opinion. This is a feedback forum. This is our feedback. We donât like the mechanic. Weâve stated a millions different reasons why.
You say âweâ, but that refers to a very small amount. The majority does not have a issue with it. The majority deals with it. Welcome to democracy. Can you now just git gud or will you keep crying? The game has other serious problems, give feedback on that.
