Just ignore him, he never has anything but smears anyways lol
Is spotting really op?
I’ll meet you on the hunting grounds one day, see how you feel then.
If you want to massively nerf the FT this way, what’s the massive nerf to predator to keep it even?
I don’t know if spotting is OP, but it is absolutely retarded and a trash mechanic IMO. Got those mudded up snipers just spamming the fuck out of it 🙄
I don’t really mind the mud spamming PERSAY, the ping spam is more annoying to me tbh lol
Yeah don’t care about mud, just makes the guy spamming the spot almost impossible to find. Totally infuriating.
yep lol
And backing up again, if the Predator had decent stealth maybe spotting would make more sense. Like if his cloak…you know, cloaked. And obviously he’s invisible while still, it’s getting into position that’s the issue. And doing so QUIETLY. No dinosaur stomping and no clearing your throat constantly
u can also see a shadow lol… while stealthed
The vocal sounds of the Predator I can get behind fully. The ping system won’t even be that bad if your cloak had more than 2 stages: sorta visible, invisible.
We need a 3rd (middle) cloaking-stage. The perfect balance between normal cloak (running/walking) and standing still. Coaching, walking, moving slowly in a tree. And also make sounds four times less.
You know what would be great, if a scout or recon class had a specific tool for that… same as evolve had but less powerful… maybe it like shown where the predator is when using a heartbeat pulse scan which not only shows predator, but also shows AI bots too… so its gonna be useful againts BOTS :)… But they wont add it probably xD… altho they should
Bio-scanner maybe that can be used every 60 seconds?
Game is FT favoured (for high level play), this is a way to try help that balance.
Yes it is op
Yeah happend to me too in a match and apparantly its easy to spot the predator on pc if u lower the graphics of the game to potato level then whether invisible or not the predator is visible whereever u are hiding
any thoughts on the idea I brought to the table?
my idea came to me while thinking of how Billy stopped in his tracks then dutch asked him what was going on? billy asked dutch if hes seeing the predator (like he is seeing him)… dutch replies no.
then theres Mac pointing it out to Dillin
same thing would happen with us in game
a FT player spots him/her but they can only see the green marker after the spot
the other FT members only get to see the initial spot which would be seen by the rest of the team as the “eye” marker. This way if you happen to look at the eye then spot the predator you will then see the green marker. rinse and repeat for the other team members
Fix the cloaking and its a different story, literally its a walking black mass that renders it useless. Though if he does get spotted, the outline should disappear as soon as the yautja either; switches to another branch (especially when he’s behind the tree), and runs past barriers that should break the fireteam’s line of sight. Things like that should make the fireteam confused wondering ‘where did the pred go’ in order for better re-positioning and to retreat to recover or strategies.
What they need to do is factor in what the human eye can see at a distance and they need to include how far away a clear object could be seen
we should not be able to just randomly look off into the distance and point him/her out in the manner at which im seeing.
They could have it spot him but not track his location
For sure. The biggest issue is the cloaking.
Change up your gameplay. Spotting is too rooted in the game to be removed (perks and classes). Even if it could be removed, it’s not OP!
STOP PLAYING BERSERKER.
you sacrifice movement speed for strength. Period. That’s the trade off you agreed to. Not to even mention hit boxes. I’ve honestly never played berserker and I was shocked by your vid on how slow he traverses trees.
I play scout and I’ve never had an issue. In fact, I’d be the crazy one to say spotting helps me. It tells me when to move. The counter to FT spot is telling the Pred when he’s been spotted.
I play scout as FT. My main goal is predator spotting. I can tell you I miss 90% of my spots. A predator on the move is hard to spot. Stop playing berserker.
