Is there a balance issue

Hey not played in nearly 8 months but hopped back on with the predator hunting party dlc came out and has there been a big buff for fire team ? Been playing playing fireteam and predator. I suck as fireteam, I’m not good at first person shooters at all lol but I can kill predators almost by myself, and when I’m with the others I don’t even see the predator before they have killed it most of the time.

I was pretty good at predator but I never felt like I had to try very hard to win unless up against a really good fireteam, but now seems like its very difficult to win and I’m very much a hang back type of predator mostly long range but occasionally short range. Has the game gone back to being fireteam hunting grounds ?

I thought there was something weird when I got parried continuously as a berserker with impenetrable and a combi stick with nearly full health.

IDK but I see both sides complaining almost equally so … maybe it’s as close to balanced as it can be?

that’s the best part it never changed fireteam has always been the power role in this game

Maybe but the advantage should always really be closer for the predator, fireteam should have to work as a well oiled machine to win but it feels too easy being fireteam.

The Predator has the following:

ZERO Daily missions
ZERO Weekly missions
ZERO XP boost
ZERO Missions to complete during a match

As unfortunate as it is… the game is HEAVILY favored toward the Fire Team. 😕

Could boost preds somehow when facing full parties but leave it as is if it’s rando FTs

There was a few weeks when predator was better, but that was like a year ago or so. Obviously I get we should all be using strategy but fireteam should be relying on it more to win and less for the predator who totally should have a strategy.

If you take both sides at their fullest potential pred stands no chance. He gets absolutely stomped and dominated 11 times out of 10.

Pred generally always gets more XP tho.

I agree should have daily and weekly challenges

Why would you want missions for pred?

if yoru talking about when the game first came out that is a false it was only like that cause ft didn’t know how to play the game fireteam was probably at it’s peak during that time (no guns had recieved nerfs yet parries hadn’t been nerfed (3 times) yet they had infinite stamina lmao)

any other time in the games lifespan was fireteam was stronger

the only difference now is predator has some one shot builds that will probably get nerfed in a month or so
(elder stalker Valkrye ghost samurai ghost Cleo stalker CH anylitic scout anaylitic Exiled anaylitic)

meanwhile the 3 best ft guns that have been the best guns for over a year Hammerhead 101112 and the SAWZ will probably continue to not get nerfed

in case you didn’t watch any streams they have ever done they have already done 3 statements on how they balance things
1: they look at server match data for winrates of loadouts
2: they balance around maximizing fun for fireteam playing predator is fun on it’s own
3: when they look at combat they only consider the 1v1 scenario between a fireteam and a predator
4: we don’t know what is considered fine for them as they have said “We get complaints for the war club every patch we keep looking at it and coming to the conclusion that it’s fine.”

I think pred needs more ranged options honestly.

Too many play melee. Need to make more fun and viable ranges options.

Like a cross bow and throwable knives IDK

I would love a mission as the Predator. As an example, how cool would it be as the Predator to have to retrieve Predator Tech before the Fire Team gets to it!! Then let’s say someone from the Fire Team picks it up, if you kill them, you can pick it up and have it.

I don’t know, there’s a bunch of ideas I have that would be sick for missions that revolve around both the Predator and Fire Team. There’s really no reason the Predator shouldn’t have missions to complete all while hunting the FT.

As it stands, the Predator is just a thorn in their side. No goals of his own whatsoever.

then your probably delusional as i’ve played the game continually never taking more than a week long break and i can tell you i’ve been soloing preds with relative ease for many months with nothing ever changing aside from right now dealing with the occasional one shot build 8/10 games won in solo que

No need for that mate, I’ve been playing it since I got it but not for the past 8 months and seen it flip flop continuesly throughout. Definitely no need to call someone delusional.
